I have passed on your post on to Alan Moody. Watch this site. I left it up to him to post contact info. I am aware of someone else from Sarasota that is already speaking to Alan.

Here is what I heard. The judge ended up honoring the plea agreement and gave him the max penalty. 5 years plus 3 surpervised and $7,000,000 in restitution. Bryces attorney made a motion to appeal and have Bryce remain out on bond until an appeal was heard. At that time the proscution drop a copy of a $42,000 bad check Bryce had recently given someone off the east coast. They took him into custody and I believe additional charges are now being filed in other states. If you believe you have been defrauded by Bryce or any group where Bryce was involved you are encouraged to go to the authorities.

Bryce Sherwood was sentenced to an 8 year deal, 5 of confinement and 3 of supervised release with the 7 million restitution. He made a half hearted attempt at an apology - not convincing at all - and announced his plans to appeal the verdict. Emails and letters had arrived to the Judge from all across the nation from other victims - more than she had ever received about any other criminal.
Judge Neff was most concerned by the fact that so many of these people were religious/christian people and even supposed friends of the Sherwood family. The Judge said to Bryce about using his church and religious background to be lying, deceiving, and stealing from his friends; that she would have for more respect for him if he had pulled a gun and robbed a convenience store.
Bryce lied to the Judge again when she asked him what he was doing to earn a living - he said he was doing nothing, that he was unemployed at this time, but had a very good position lined up depending on the outcome of the sentencing.
The FBI just received, on the day of sentencing, a new complaint against Bryce that came with all the evidence to back up the verbal complaint. That took the wind out of Bryce's arrogant attitude about sentencing. It also landed him directly in jail from sentencing. It was very clear to the Judge that he indeed was currently "working" and was indeed scamming people still to the very day of sentencing.
She had very harsh words for Bryce Sherwood and his 15 to 20 years of criminal behavior. Judge told Bryce it was obvious to her that he was addicted to lying, cheating, and stealing. She was frustrated with the only 5 year confinement deal Bryce had been offered. Judge Neff told Bryce he was obviously the best con man of the three, since he had even been able to con his way into a reduced sentence with his plea deal with the Prosecutor. She said she was giving the maximum sentence in the plea deal and wished she could give more. She was convinced that unless he had some huge change of heart, he would be right back at his same old crimes again.
Bryce is also looking at more charges as other victims put the pressure on their local FBI offices to make Bryce be accountable for his crimes against them. Federal sentences do not offer early release either.
Thank you to Pastor Moody for standing up and stopping this long history of crime. It is a shame that you will not see much restitution - probably should have made Bryce stay in jail until he had worked off his restitution making license plates in the prison work system. A real job for once would be good therapy for a career theif.

Someone is starting a web site; BryceSherwood.com .
I have been invited to post my story and proof of how he scammed our group. We may never get our money back but with any luck, he will not see daylight for a few years.

Any new charges that are filed and if convicted will add on more time. There are also other people who were working with Sherwood on different deals who could be targeted for prosecution. These three in Michigan may only be the tip of the iceberg if everyone remains diligent in pursuing the truth.

It is important to contact your local authorities and reference Sherwoods case in MI. He was able to con the prosecutor into only five years behind bars. Any new victims who come forward can press charges and get on to the restitution list. There will probably be little or no money found. But at least everyone can make sure Sherwood spends more time in prison then just the five years. Maybe that hidden pot of gold might surface if more pressure is put on him and others involved. NY victim, do you have any other names of those who conned you?

Here is Bryce's new home; hopefully for the next 5 years. What a scumbag!!

The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), in Estill, South Carolina, is a medium security facility housing male inmates. It also has an adjacent satellite camp that houses minimum security male inmates.

FCI Estill is located approximately 50 miles north of Savannah, Georgia, 96 miles west of Charleston, South Carolina, and 95 miles south of the state capitol, Columbia, South Carolina. The institution is three miles south of the town of Estill. It may be accessed via U.S. Highway 321 and South Carolina Route 3.

Five years! Any victims who were not connected to the charges in Michigan need to keep after the authorities. Some poor sap here just got 7 years for stealing some electronics out of a house. Not that there is any hope of recovering anything. But if there is, you need to get on the restitution list otherwise you are sitting behind $7,000,000 due others than the IRS. Only hope is filing charges. If nothing else we can pile a some additional years on Bryce or push him to implicate others who have stolen money from all of us.

Elwin, not sure what your comment means, but if are calling some of the victims idiots, you may want to know the whole story before passing judgement. In almost all cases I am aware of there were attorney's involved (getting the Bar Associations to do something is like pulling teeth also) and reputable references (that turned out to be BS or victims themselves). Biggest problem I see is the legal system is so bogged down getting any action on something spread from coast to coast is next to impossible. In the meantime the cons continue. It is blogs like these that may help future victims avoid these people.

Elwin, you have no idea what you are talking about. These guys are all professional con men. They have perfected the art of lies and deception, assuming you have a profession, just like you have yours. They know the red flag issues to avoid, change, or simply lie about. They provide all the data and references to deceive the most intelligent and discerning of individuals.

One of two things makes you come up with a comment like yours.#1 You are a con man too. Or #2 you have no clue about how these things work.

In either case - use your brain first and not your words and you will at least appear less of an idiot yourself.
