*Timothy York, 41, of East William Street in Bath, was sentenced April 7 to three years of probation after pleading guilty to second-degree criminal contempt. *Brandon Plank, 25, of Grove Springs Road in Hammondsport, was sentenced April 8 to nine months in jail after pleading guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny. *Michael McCarthy, 20, of Fairway Road in Corning, was sentenced April 8 to one year and four months to four years in jail after pleading guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny. A grand jury handed up the following indictments April 4: *Irvin C. Brown Jr., 68, of Warner Avenue in Cohocton, was charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with incidents between July 2003 and October 2007. *Anthony M. Davis, 28, of East Vanscoter Street in Hornell, was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with incidents between July and October 2007 in Hornell. *Brian Nichols, 38, of Maple Street in Canisteo, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated in an incident Sept. 18 in the village of Canisteo. The defendant was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated in 2001 in Georgia. *A 16-year-old boy, of Freeville, was charged with first-degree criminal sex act, first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, in an incident Nov. 11 in Caton. It seems hornell charges more people more and more everytime i look at the paper or online news but the fact is those hornell cops are doing the same thing they are arresting people over.I think this is not right -yea yea they say nothing is fair but how you going to charge someone when you all do the same thing over and over....
