Gary Dell Abate wrote: <quoted text> Obeying the law is now being a "nazi" wow, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for your intelligent insight but again, the petty insults only prove you have no argument and resort to the name calling. Understood. Legislating a law, and supporting the law makes rANTIS NAZIS. "But, what can you do? How can anyone prevail against such pervasive social subjugation? You simply...disobey.- Peaceably, yes. Respectfully, of course. Nonviolently, absolutely. But when told how to think or what to say or how to behave, we don't. We disobey social protocol that stifles and stigmatizes personal freedom." ~Charlton Heston

Chicago is the capital of cigar raves (that is if you're lucky enough to get invited). I've been to 4 now. The 5th is coming. The fascists can't seem to stop good old Capitalism. Floating warehouse locations. Prime rib. Top shelf booze. Beautiful cigarette girls. Plenty of room to breathe in Cuba's...um, I mean Nicaragua's finest natural incense. Ain't cheap but definitely worth it. The last one ran "Street-Smokin" videos of cops smoking in squad-cars, aldermen, local and state legislators smoking in public places people like Melodylane from Skokie with their Nanny-Panties all in a bunch. High-larious. Those clips alone were worth the price of admission.

gregs boss wrote: <quoted text> Smoking is now MORE healthy than not smoking. You know, I think you might be onto something there. Over 2 million people died in the last year that figures are available - and only 493,000 were "smoking" related. That means something else killed the other 1,507,000 people. Even if you subtract the 350,000 deaths caused by obesity, there is still something killing 1,157,000 innocent people. I hope they can find out what is causing all these deaths. If they don't fit into the smokers or fat category, then they must be skinny non smokers.

Since I did a Reagan quote I have to do my favorite quote of his.
Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. Ronald Reagan

Wasn't really sure what to believe on the science. After a little digging it all comes clear. Then you have this little fact; nicotine gum 1984, the patch 1992, chantix 2006. SG, EPA, SG....

Nonsmoking NorSider wrote: <quoted text> Goodness-smokers who atempt to justify their weaknesses of smoking by stating it is "right" and argue about an arguement are so pathetic. I wonder who spends more money in a bar/rest that has a ban? With the summer coming upon Chicago, the people who are "going outside" are going to have to go further because of the outdoor cafes and beer gardens, you think? The Smoke Free Illinois Act does not ban smoking in outdoor cafes and beer gardens, according to the State's position in attempting to defend a constitutional attack in Will County, where the Judge says he will rule on May 30.

That's fine, it just proves that the smoking side is wrong and has to resort to insults and name calling since they have nothing else. Have a wonderful day.:)
