Mayor's budget proposes renegotiating union contracts

“We must learn to live within our means. My budget plan is a road map for doing exactly that.”

It didn't take long for Lansing's so-called "little guys" to pounce on the $113.7 million budget proposal that Mayor Virg Bernero presented to City Council Monday. via Lansing State Journal

Listen to the Teamsters ads on the radio today. Purge Benero trying to open up labor contracts. These contract were bargained in good faith and are legally binding. He can threaten all he wants. The unions have taken concessions at the bargaining table. This smug little bully needs to be stopped.
