Really! I haven't been in town for awhile. I just have been hearing this and that but I didn't know anything about someone going to that guy with a gun. Can you tell me more?

DOne some asking around. Found out the guy that was with Eric the night he died was seeing the mother of his kids behind Eric's back. And she had been telling Eric all along that she was coming back to him when he got his divorce from that wild woman. Sounds like a love triangle gone bad to me..

Please just keep praying that the truth will come out what ever it may be. Eric is still here with us and leading us in the right direction for closure. Help with prayer.

eric was murdered! Its just that simple. He didn't drive his truck off in the water. I don't think he ever was in the truck when it went in the water, I think the ole boy that he thought was his friend that was with him hit him over the head and pushed him in the water then drove the truck off in the water to cover it up.

I find it hard to beleive that this ever happened eric was a smart person when it came to driving and i dont beleive he would have ever drove off into the water like that. I believe that there is more to the story than we will know.If anyone should know any info at all please reply and let me know. I am sure that eric is still with us until we find out what really happened and the other persons get what they deserves.

First of all, I knew Eric better than any of these know it alls think they do. Anyone that knew him, knew that he always was out driving around and thought that he could do anything. Eric was not murdered, there was no fowl play, talk to the Sheriffs office if you really want to know the truth. Also to Crawler Boy, Eric's ex-wife was not seeing the boy he was with behind his back. To the dude from Winslow, just simply saying that Eric was murdered is absolutely stupid. People need to know their facts before they run their mouths or even voice their opinions. This was simply a tragedy that occurred to a very good person. God took Eric for a reason and the reason being to get him away from the crazy bitch he had just got a divorce from. If people want to find out some facts, ask her. She always threatened him and his kids and all of his family. She has already sank her teeth into another guy in the area and is doing the same thing to him and his family that she done to Eric and his family. To all of you know it alls--dig a little deeper about her--unless you are some of her crack friends.

Why are you so interested in someone letting you know any information?

Ok... I'm reading these posts and it sounds to me like there are more investigators in Independence County than on the payroll.
Think it thru.
A FLASHFLOOD is exactly that. He could have been driving anywhere along that road and out of nowhere it happened. You can't tell me that many of you have marveled at the power of nature sometimes putting yourself dangerously close just to watch. From what I understand it was nighttime... Heavy rainfall on an already saturated area and being in a truck which bears little weight in the rear of the vehicle. If a body of water suddenly hit the truck it will spin. You all have watched the lock and damn before and seen trees as big as a house be manipulated like a tooth pick. Imagine the same power hitting that truck. If alcohol was involved then judgement could have been impaired.
It doesn't take much to move an object in swift water. Swift water flowing against the wheels on a muddy road is a recipe for disaster.
Instead of worrying about wether someone was responsable ask yourself how did he get there in the first place? I have vast experience in dealing with swift water and rescues. Believe me if someone was responsible the Law Enforcement would have acted upon it. This wasn't just a local case I'll bet. It made State news so many eyes were upon this.
Eric was a loving father of two beautiful children. They should be the focus and not a bunch of Junior Deputy Sheriffs claiming they have solved the mystery.
I didn't know Eric well but well enough to know he is in a better place. His troubles are over. His children have to adjust to life without him and try to put the pieces back together. How many of you are helping that happen?
Ammatures ...... I tell ya.
Rest in Peace Eric.

Don't be so quick to form an opinion, and be so sure that your opinion is right. I fear that many will be surprised.
