Oh my god. Give it a rest. If you don't like the way we talk then move back up north, or out west.

Walmart is an Arkansas original company, so WALMART is the correct Southern way of saying it.

It is Wal-Mart not Walmarts folks!!! Just because we are from the south doesn't give us a really to mispronounce words!!! Another good one that I HATE to hear is when people say warsh instead of wash!!!! Come on folks it really sounds disgusting like your some back woods booger holler, one tooth in your mouth rednecks!!!

I'm a citizen as well born and raised here as a matter of fact!!! I am well spoken and know how to pronounce my words correctly. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort actually. However Alot folks from up north do talk about us because of the ones who use for example words such as Walmarts instead of Wal-mart or warsh their clothes instead of wash their clothes. There is a HUGE difference between country and redneck.... For example when I think of country folks I think of front porch swings, sweet tea, beans and cornbread and fried chicken and so on BUT when I think of rednecks I think of ones who are very lazy in their speech, Never owned a tooth brush much less a dental plan and walking around in Walmarts with their wife Suzy Jane which is really their first cousin:)

personally...i like to call it THE walmart...despite the fact that it isn't the company name, seeing as there is only one walmart in town, it is technically grammatically correct. one walmart would be THE walmart. plus anything that pisses off the local fools who get all riled up over such things is A OK in my book!!
