Southside Assembly has a new pastor that I heard is very good. If you enjoyed the fellowship of the members there before you moved, you might want to give the new pastor a try.

Um, my husband Nick was the youth pastor, but we live and attend church in Little Rock now. If you're moving back to Batesville, I've heard Mike Ring is the new pastor at Southside and he's really good. Also, the ones mentioned above, First Assembly of God and Believers are both excellent churches too.
Good luck and God bless!

We attend believer's community church north of town and it is an awesome church with a lot to offer to all ages. My husband and I work with the youth and they are great kids. We also have 3 of our own in varies childrens programs that they just love. You know it is a great place when your kids want to go and don't want to go home...haha!
Good luck and we would live for yall to visit.

Faith Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 3985 Harrison Street is very kid oriented with friendly members. Don't let the Presbyterian name fool you, it is upbeat and "different" in a positive way. Check it out. Thanks.

Actually Guest I would love to know more about your church. How does a Presbyterian differ from other churches (like Baptist or Methodist)?
We are looking for a church family too!

Well I am guest, but I did not post about the Presbyterian.
So if u r directing the question towards me I will tell u a little about believers community church. It is located in the spring valley area on the highway north of town towards cave city.
Our services are contemporary with a large praise and worship band and comfortable laid back atmosphere. We have a wide variety of people from all different backgrounds both spiritually and physically. We r a non denominational church.our services are Sunday mornings at 9 and 1045. We have life groups (small groups) that meet on Sunday nights during the school year. Wednesday nights start at 630 for children and youth and the adults begin at 700. We have a website that u can google.

I have tried several churches in town and haven't found a fit. I'm getting discouraged! So, far we have only experienced very traditional services. I would like a preacher that is truly Holy Spirit inspired... ie. he doesn't always preach a mother's day sermon just because its mother's day! A preacher that God lays a message on his heart and he delivers it. I'm looking for inspiration, relevance, and FIRE in a sermon...there's so much going on in the world today and I know God has something to say about it! But I can't find a preacher who has is actually talking about the issues Christian families are facing TODAY...We are looking for modern praise and worship and a great kids/youth program as well... Is this just a dream church? The church in my old hometown was like this!

You should try First Church! They have very good praise and worship services and the Pastor and his Wife "The Parmelys" are great people. They have a very diverse congragation and a very non-judgmental atmosphere. Bro. Parmely preaches excellent sermons but never condems anyone. It is a really great place to go!
