Family history.
You said Mormons don't believe or allow military service, they do, have known lots of Mormons in the military, none ever thrown out of the church. In this day and age you are going to find fewer and fewer politicians with military service, therefore we need to look at the candidates views of the military, I was saying that Obama and Clinton were never pro military.

This veteran will be voting for Romney, but I don't speak for all veterans, especially that nut Barney.

They never did prove there were WMD'S in Iraq did they?
If Saddam used them on his own people in the past, why would we not assume he still had some? GW was correct to assume he had them based on the past and the intelligence. But in the overall picture, we have no business invading another country- unless they attack us or we have credible intelligence that an attack is imminent.

Me too. You know what else scares the hell out of me? Liberals.
I cannot comprehend either side fighting for their damn cause when both are fcked up in some ways. It comes down to we should all be fighting for the same thing. That is individual liberty and freedoms, not telling others how they should live, and not stealing from some to give to others.

Then who will speak for Barney, it is obvious that he is incapable of speaking for himself, I mean, he tries, but it is just a disaster. He needs to hire a spoke person.

Still, if the national polls tell a more equivocal tale than the Gallup poll alone would imply, it’s really in the state polls where Mr. Obama’s strength lies — as has largely been the case all year.
Mr. Obama’s chances of winning the Electoral College improved to 70.4 percent on Thursday from 65.7 percent on Wednesday, according to the forecast.
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012 ...
That wouldn't be the case if todays republicans were REAL republicans. Because they have moved too far left, us real conservatives are having a hard time deciding whether we should vote at all, go with the libertarian party, write in Ron Paul, or stomach Romney just to defeat Obama.

My goal isn't just to defeat Obama. It's to defeat the whole damn liberal/socialist movement wherever it comes from.

While I don't support either candidate, I would rather see Obama get it than Romney. Lesser of two evils and so forth.
So you cheer the rapist, but not the murderer?
I don't vote for "evil" of any kind.
BTW, I don't think either candidate is "evil," but both will ignore the Constitution and Bill of Rights and that's where I have a problem.

Most Americans are pinning their hopes for an economic turnaround on the upcoming election, but the truth is that neither Obama or Romney has a plan that will fix things. That statement is going to upset a lot of people on both sides of the political spectrum, but it is true.
Over the past 40 years the total amount of all debt in the United States has gone from less than 2 trillion dollars to almost 55 trillion dollars. This bubble is going to burst no matter which political party is in power.
Obama and the Democrats have tried to kick the can down the road and extend the party by spending 5.3 trillion borrowed dollars over the past 4 years, but by doing so they have made our long-term problems far worse. I believe there isnt a viable political or ballott box solution.
And if Romney wins, he will get blamed for it all. I guess if Obama wins, George Bush will get blamed.

polls show Romney ahead wrote:
Will cities all over America erupt in violence if Mitt Romney wins the election? Right now we are probably witnessing the most divisive campaign in modern U.S. history, and both sides truly hate one another. Even CNN is running articles about how polarized politics in America has become and how vicious both sides can be. There is a lot of anger and frustration out there that has been bottled up for a long time, and this election could end up being a trigger event that releases a lot of it. Both sides are entirely convinced that they can win this tightly contested election, and one side is going to feel bitterly disappointed when it does not happen. Both sides are talking as if it is going to be "the end of America" or "the end of the world" if they lose this election. This is particularly true when it comes to Obama supporters. On social networking sites such as Twitter, many of them have actually been proclaiming that Mitt Romney wants to "exterminate black people" and many of them have been openly threatening to harm him if he does win the election. This is a very dangerous sign, and these threats should be taken very seriously. Of course a lot of Romney supporters are also likely to go absolutely insane if Obama ends up winning. In fact, one Romney supporter apparently put a bullet through the window of an Obama campaign office in Denver the other day. But when it comes to threatening to do crazy things if the election does not go their way, Obama supporters definitely take the cake.
Both sides place way too much importance on who the president is. In reality, it is each individual who determines their own course in life- for the most part. Obama's policies on printing money, spending money, going in debt, borrowing and refusing to drill has caused huge inflation which is killing the poor and middle class. Unfortunately, those groups don't see that. They only hear his words that he is on their side. Nothing could be further from the truth. Actions speak louder than words.

I do have to take issue with that. Barney seems to speak just fine. He appears to be one of the more intelligent liberals on Topix. Even smarter than Warrior in New Mexico.

He also paid a $850,000 settlement over the Paula Jones incident.
He was also disbarred from practicing law in front of the Supreme Court.
So, if I understand correctly, Bill Clinton, a disbarred lawyer, a President who was impeached for lying under oath, is now asking the American people to believe him when he says the best thing for the country is four more years of Obama.
Just wanted to make sure.......that I had that right!!.
Maybe Clinton's on Obamas short list for Supreme Court nominee.

He would have to have someone explain the apology, if he is at work possibly a coworker could. If not he will be confused for the weekend

When people completely over-react to a simple turn of phrase like "lesser of two evils," I wonder if they are being deliberately obtuse or if they are just genuinely stupid.

It's only an expression, folks. No need to get thy undies in a bunch.

So then it's okay if your preferred candidate ignores the Constitution and the Bill of Rights depending on what he wants or doesn't want?

Many folks think if there prefered cantidate done win it will be a unmitigated disaster. I dont really care there is so little difference its unbeleaveable. Who ever wins its a lose lose outcome for the productive and a continuation of the vsame old tax borrow & spend agenda.
