Police Chief Firing

Has anyone heard the reason that the mayor fired the Chief of Police?

He was fired for doing his job. He arrested a man for interfering with a traffic stop. Unlike the previous chief and his butt monkies who would chase people three miles out of their jurisdiction before turning on their lights and sirens, harrassing citizens for driving though town, all the while ignoring people who were violating the law with illegal plates, trucks and trailers with no plates or lighting, and vehicles that would not pass state inspection. The mayor and two aldermen are up for reelection and the citizens should consider their previous performance before voting. The chief should be rehired on his merits and performance, his willingness to work with the public, and his attempts to improve the department.
