What goes around comes around, Everyone in No. Bflo thinks this guy is so good. If you list your house with him, he will not return phone calls from other Realtors that want to show your house, or present offers to you. Only if HE has someone who wants to buy it will he inform you. He's out only for himself not his client. Wake up No. Buffalo!! Your beign taken.

this is the tip of a stinking iceberg that we and the board of realtors have become far to complacent about. realtors routinely lacking in ethical behavior and side stepping the laws governing this industry. it is every persons responsibility to report questionable or potentially illegal behavior when they experience it to the board of realtors, and pressure you elected representatives to crack down on the board to do its job!

HONEST? please post your address so that i can send you a dictionary.

No one likes paying taxes but that is a reality in life that we have to do. Make no excuses because there are none. Now pay them with interest, plus your court costs now. I bet next time you will file ontime.

All the comments so far are right on the money except of the course the one that he is honest and we all make mistakes. I am a realtor and have had the unpleasure of trying to do business with matt. I also hope he gets what he deserves most of us are truly hard working people and we are also busy busy busy but guess what I had time to get my taxes done and write that big check every year to the irs and nys. I hope he does lose his license and if not all of his business. Peter Hunt is delusional that he didnt do it on purpose. I am sick of people like him giving the rest of truly honest realtors a bad rap.

Thats that

It is true, he is doing the same thing big business's and the wealthy do. Does that make it right? A little guy like him can'nt buy his way out as easy, thats all. I think the IRS should aim a little higher more often, but its tough to do when the fortune 500 runs the government. That is the real tragedy we have here folks.

Peter is going to be next my guess, and the rest will follow, they tend to throw stones as they live in glass houses... ha I've dealt with several Hunt agents and never had any problems; in fact they were all very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and thorough - so to say they're a bunch of criminals - you're totally wrong!

Get The Story Righrt wrote: .The truth will come out. Chanel 4 then can eat crow I agree. The new article is basically a news report on public opinion. Public opinion is important, but hardly fair and balanced reporting. (Something tells me this quote won't appear in any future articles of the kind)

So if Guagliano fights the charges, and the government settles out of court for say, half the money, who is the dummy? He saves $150,000. Not a bad days work!

I hope this is the tip of the Iceberg for Matt and the Hunt group. "Peter's Plan" just took a huge PR hit. Maybe now the banking Dept. will look at the "One stop shop" at Hunt Real Estate. Where they steer you to there Mortgage Company for loans and there Appraiser's for appraisals. My dealings with Matt and Hunt RE have never been easy or nice. Are Matt's assistants licensed?

hunt stinks

My son had a horrible experience with Hunt Realty. Found the house of his dreams, put in a bid, which was accepted. Next day he got called at work and said the house was shown and a higher bid was made. I thought once a bid is accepted, that's it. He had to jump through hoops to get this house and ended up paying thousands more. Seems unethical - just like politicians. Something should be done to stop this practice. All realtors are greedy!

I think Matt should face the music he should have to pay every cent and should not get any relief he makes plenty of money and why should he think he is above all of us. and also face a jail term

I tried not to feel glad that Matt finally got caught doing something wrong, but most people who have dealt with him professionally know his unethical tactics and probably felt the same as I -- justice. If he is your selling agent, he will bully you into selling your home for less than the value if he wants you out of his hair. And if you are purchasing a home from him, he will play every trick in the book to jockey a higher price. I had to deal with him on two occasions, and both led to me walking away from the purchase or sale because of his suspect behavior.

All realtors are not greedy, and in fact,to "hunt stinks" that is completely legal and ethical. I have had to deal with him before and it has not been a pleasant experience. I am busy yet every year I seem to have my taxes paid on time. With the amount of money he is making, I'm sure he could afford to hire an accountant. He is just unethical and greedy. He makes the rest of us look bad. We are NOT all like him!

I am sorry your son was not aware that a an offer even if it is signed by all parties is not a valid offer until the attorney's for both parties approve the contract. This is how the Erie County Bar Association wrote the contact for the real estate community to use. As a listing agent it is our job as an agent of the seller to do the best we can for them. Yes, if we can get more money for the house...we do it for THEM. A fewthousand dollars more does not give us a big increase in pay. A $5,000 increase x 6%=$300 to the brokers. The agent only gets paid a precentage of the $300. Greedy..........I don't think so.
