This message is for racist Ralph. If Daye was visiting a student at that house he would have been fired by now. Why did a scorned woman wait 17 years to cry the blues about Daye? Rumor has it that she is in the same AAU circuit as the volunteer coach Stiles. You think they have not had a couple of conversations during tournaments. There are rumors that Williams and other administrative staff members had information that is critical to this investigation but refused to release it because Daye was collateral damage and they needed a fall guy. Mills needs to speak with Daye and his lawyer to get to the bottom of this. Ralph why hasn't the name of the aid from school 67 been released. The paper has no problem putting Daye on the front page. Leave the man alone.

You know, the entire situation saddens me.
Principal Barton played favorites back when I was in HS (as a few other HS principals did) and I'm sure she's doing it now. Let's cover everything up because all that matters to certain people are winning sports teams and whose metaphorical nether regions are bigger. That might be how the *real* world is.. but it still doesn't make it right. If someone wants to live with poor morals, that's fine. It's NOT okay when that person is in position of authority, and those people USE that power and abuse it. Instead of using it the way it was intended, and that's to LEAD, be a GOOD ROLE MODEL, TEACH our children. It's sick that someone can discipline a student in such a harsh manner and doesn't get reprimanded for it.(I've seen kids back in school a heck of a lot faster for physically harming another student!) This isn't right. Ms Barton needs to be reprimanded, as do the other people who KNEW the true story and chose to cover their tracks for the sake of reputation, especially since it could have potentially hurt the reputation of a student who is preparing to step out in this *real world* of ours. They are not role models. They are greedy pigs.

I feel so sorry for Jayvonna, what a way to ruin her senior year. Last year when my daughter was a senior and 17 years old, she was questioned for 2 1/2 hours without my knowledge for an incident that happened at school. She was innocent of course but what the school resource officer put her through was ridiculous, he even asked her to lift up her shirt because they were looking for a certain color shirt that she did not have on. Anyway, she was set-up by a jealous 8th grader because my daughter was talking to her boyfriend. I hoped that the resource officer whould at least give my daughter an apology but have still not heard anything. I know that this event ruined my daughters' senior year!
Kids can be so cruel!

Let me clarify the issue surrounding the alleged misbehavior of James Daye, the well-traveled coach, teacher and role model currently suspended from McKinley High. Mr. Daye unequivocally states he did not have an inappropriate relationship with former South Carolina student Nena Creech. According to his attorney, even if Mr. Daye did have such a relationship, which he didn’t, it was over three years ago and beyond the statute of limitations for such things. Moreover, his lawyer has assured us that the alleged victim was 17 years old, so even if his client might have done what he didn’t do, which he didn’t, it may have been vile and immoral but not exactly illegal. Like Mr. Daye, I too am confused and distraught that these and other false accusations, rumor and innuendo follow him from job to job to job. That the Buffalo Board of Education would hire such a person, and shelter him for so long, must be considered additional proof of his innocence. Mr. Daye should be immediately reinstated so that he may continue to educate and mentor our precious children in their most impressionable and vulnerable years.

I really wonder if Mr. Daye and Mrs. Barton are innocent, why do they have lawyers? Why haven't they spoke to the media? Why haven't they addressed the issues? Why are they hiding behind their lawyers? The way they have handled this situation doesn't bode well in the public's eyes.

i've just finished watching channel four news on friday night and listened to part of the report that was released. how could edmunds come to any conclusions if barton refused to even meet with him. why was she not forced to meet with him by the district?yet the report states that barton had every reason to get rid of stiles ? how do you come to that conclusion? i only hope that this report is made totally public so we can at least determine some truth on our own

having a right doesn't mean you should use it.
maybe daye and barton are bumping uglies.
maybe just covering each others backs for thier behaviors. I hope the truth comes out before more damage is done to the inocent..whoever that may be
