Regents Chancellor very concerned about Buffalo School Board

Barton is the root of this mess. These other distractions only serve to extend her inept handling of a student who wanted to complain to the board of education about her......GET RID OF BARTON!

It saddens me that people who hold leadership positions can remain untouchable and avoid accountability to parents and the communities that they SERVE! The school board is just another part of Buffalo's overpaid and self serving governing boards. Dr Williams needs to be reviewed and possibly replaced.

Can someone tell me why they can have executive sessions and not inform the school taxpayers what is being said in those meetings. Every taxpayer in that district should know what is being said.

I feel that there should be nothing secret to the taxpayers and the parents of the children that are in that school.

Read the Kresse report in its entirety on the Artvoice webpage. It is an eye opener. Kresetes needs to be fired and the Hon. Chris Jacobs needs to be removed. Of course being the white patsy's of Mr. Williams means they'll be part of the landscape for years to come.

We are not the ones without humanity. Enter a school and stay for awhile. What is being said is far from the truth. Read the reports. They interviewed people. Were unable to check further due to lack of documentation on several accounts. Barton isn't the first principal to be caught doing something unethical. Others have been transferred to downtown with higher paying positions. The joke in Buffalo for years has been do something wrong get a desk job downtown, oh yes the punishment also includes a pay increase. That letter was the littlest problem of this school system. That letter has nothing to do with the parents never being notified about their son's possible incident till 3 months later, the letter has nothing to do with the original problem at McKinley, nor does it have anything to do with City Honors. Those have been the real issues. The letter was a crumb in a huge pile!!!!!

I went to the site WOW how are they going to cover up this mess at City Honors. It shows the principal is telling the truth. Wow wow Jacobs is up to his elbows in this mess so is Mr. Kretz. Dr. Kreese even asked him didn't he think this was a conflict of interest.

You should be very proud of yourself, putting down a kid. I bet your anti-teacher and anti-union as well. As a BPS teacher I love my job and do everything I can to facilitate these kids as they maneuver through the system. A matter of fact I teach at McKinley and you have no idea about the kids who go there. I am not commenting on anything but what you said. McDonald's? Uhm, go check the wall at McKinley and you will see letters of acceptance from UB, Buff State, Virginia Tech as well as a host of smaller and larger schools.
Please follow a basic rule of teaching (and humanity), say nothing to do harm. You are an adult, that's a kid. Thank goodness your not a teacher. I hope.

The mess in the schools is a reflection of the mess in WNY in general. Mothers don't want to parent their children, Fathers aren't there in enough numbers to be effective parents, grandparents try hard but are overwhelmed by negative influences in student's lives.

School unions are there to protect high paying jobs with outlandishly exprnsive benefits. Principals are afraid of offending anyone and have no status in the building, supervisors realize they have a good gig and don't want to upset the status quo, and upper administration realizes that, like everything else in WNY, after all the pissing and moaning and outrage is over, nothing will change. Buffalo in the "Land of Do NOTHING"!
CHILDREN NEED STRUCTURE AND EVENTUALLY WILL THRIVE IN IT ... the structure will come from gangs, or chemical agents OR can come from home and the rest of the school society. Everyone is part of the problem aka train wreck. It has been wrecked and will never get fixed while everyone sets the blame away from their own personal responsibility ... EVERYBODY ( even you Mr. Rumore)!!!!
