Swine flu to close 2 schools in Kane Co., Ill.

Health officials in northern Illinois' Kane County are recommending the temporary closure of two schools because of probable swine flu.

Because of the closure of Marmion Academy, the Flannigan Rifles Drill Team will not be going to Daytona Flordia to compete at the National High School Drill Competition where they place 5th last year.

i am a stusent at west aurora high school and i personally do not think that the school is taking this seriously. One way to prevent this is through the spread of germs like on the desks and luch tables and at my lunch table there has been a drawing their for over a week and that means the schools havent cleaned the tables in a while. if the swine flu comes to west, it will be the schools fault not the students.

I'm also a student, (not stusent) at west aurora and I don't think anything is being taken seriously either. My lunch table is discusting and there has been a tomatoe on the cieling for like 2 months. I don't know if they are waiting for a bunch of kids to get sick to actually do something, but I think teachers should start getting prepared in case school closes. Like possibly put up lesson plans on the school websites..Idk. but itll be fine.
