A NEW entertainment club? I don't know of any old strip club in the area!

It seems the only people interested in such a place are ingnorant red necks who think with their little head instead of the one on their shoulders. The way these good old boys and girls talk, it sounds like they live in a moral vacuum and have no idea of the moral and social corruption such places cause a community. Anyone in favor of such a place is a hedonist. The community should be fighting to keep such trash out instead of drooling at the idea of having one brought in. It's indecent, and disgusting filth.

I totally agree. I don't want to see places like that in the town I live. Nothing good will come of it. Crime will probably increase also. Maybe even drunk driving and sexual assualts.

This is about making money. There is a lot of $$ to be made by selling sex. I'm not for it, but I know why the clubs are so popular. People are weak and need their outlets. These strip clubs serve the needs of the weak, and then also corrupt the 16 to 19 year olds to fall into the same pattern. It's just a different form of pornography, the live kind.

I'm very proud of you men speaking up against a strip club. Good Job! I am also happy I have a husband that thinks strip clubs are more of a turn-off as watching women degrade themselves for money is disgusting.

You've gotta be kiddin me. Strip clubs mark the beginning of the end of an area. Bars, brawling, fights, prostitution, sex shop and all kinds of other vice and crappola follow. Only some stupid horny pin head would go to a strip club.

Neither do I. the place on 53 in Romeoville causes enough trouble.

A lot of the people objecting are men here. There is nothing wrong with looking at a pretty woman. It's the part where you feel the need to watch a woman degrade herself for your pleasure that makes you the sicko.

Strip clubs are nothing more than another form of legalized pornography. It is ethical, moral and social poison. In this country just because something is legal does not mean it's good. If a persons morality is based upon what is legal then we live in a very sick, perverted, murdering, and self deluded society. Well, there is a 'gentlemen's club'*cough* called "The Cellar" on Patterson Road. It's been there quite a few years.

Wasn't there a woman murdered in the parking lot of that place on Patterson Road two years ago?

I honestly couldn't say. I do know, however, a few years ago, a chilhood friend of mine was found dead at a hotel a couple miles away after leaving that place one evening. He left there with a few 'friends' & they had gone to the hotel to continue partying, he partied too hard & was found dead the next morning. All of his money & his cell phone were missing.

He wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, he obviously had issues with alcohol & drugs, but he had a good heart & never had an unkind word about anyone. All of us friends who grew up with him, well, it broke our hearts to lose him. Despite his personal demons, he was otherwise, a great guy.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. I do recall a body of a woman being found in the parking lot a couple years ago. Or it could have been a man. The deceased was not discovered until daylight. There was quite a lot of controversy and they tried to shut the place down.
