Texas Tech may create dental school in El Paso

Texas Tech University is considering starting a dental school on the medical center campus in El Paso, regent Rick Francis said Tuesday.

Something needs to be done about all those people with messed-up Juarez teeth.

This is a long-term, critical development. We are massively underserved in dentists -- and those we do have are often aging towards retirement. The increased numbers coming into El Paso make it even more critical to have a chance at stabilizing and recruiting dentists to this area.

I hope this comes to fruition. Tech has been doing some great things in El Paso as of late and I would like to see that continue.

A dental school will be perfect for El Paso. In the future i wish to continue my education in the dental field. This school will give so many more people, who can't afford to move out of town, to continue their dreams here in EL PASO, TX. :-)

I would recommend that dental school be located in states like Georgia when they have about the ugliest women alive. They can get some practice there or maybe not come to think about it.

there is a dentist office on every corner in Juarez. they take American insurance, lots of el pasoans with insurance go over to JZ for dental care -- they feel is it better
