I am so worried about my friend Larry, on 210 Charolais Drive. He left his eight dogs fenced in the yard before leaving for work. And he can't get back. He loves them as if they were children, and he feels so guilty for leaving them to go to work. But he is so broke, and he felt that he would get fired if he didn't show up.

What is wrong with this country, that we can't make ends meet?

And then I think about those who left children.

Pray for everyone.

I live off Hoffman rd. Fires are east of here. But only by about 5 miles. We are safe for now, Hopefully the strong winds do not change direction.

For info you can get on facebook and look up the Bastrop County Emergency page. If you read some of the comments people are leaving they are giving out info on different areas. Hoffman Rd has been mentioned on there. Tahitian VIllage has lost homes. someone said that they are in that area and the homes west?or North? of the ridge are gone.
Camp Swift is where they are staging the incoming fire equipment coming in from costal areas to help fight this fire. It is south of camp swift at this time/
Winds are blowing it south/southwest.

The fire started at FM 1441 and Charolais Drive. That is the only info I have.
