I thought that would be your answer. Is your God a schizo. He talks to other people and tells them something different.

Seriously. Do your parents know you are on here?

It is useless to argue scripture with a protester. You believe in Sola Scriptura, a man made invention in the 1500s, so you can never be wrong.
All throughout OT history God had a man on Earth in charge and each of them had successors.
Then Jesus came so the OT could be fulfilled. He never once mentioned a book that was coming that was going to be in 'charge'.
He did create a church however. 1 Church. He specifically said he built this Church on Peter after changing his name to Rock from Simon. Did you know that he was the first person in recorded history to have the name Rock?
What powers did he give his church. To bind and loosen and whatever was bound on earth by his Church was bound and loosen in heaven. Whatever sins the Church forgives or not, the same would be done in heaven.
Also the bible says the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. What does it say about scripture? It is profitable for teaching. Who is going to the teach it? The pillar and foundation of Truth, the Church.
You worship a book and have no clue of its history. To be deep in history is to cease being a Protestant.
I invite you read free of charge a history book written by an ex protestant Henry Graham in 1906, I believe. "Where We Got the Bible"
Please read. It is not long and we can discuss if you want. You can google it, if this doesn't work.

If the RCC was of God it would have been in his words of Truth. Sorry it isnt so man had to come up with this protester thing against a false church that is not in the book of life. What is more funny is your RCC group reads from a book of what you call man. Why would a pope do such a thing since he has the pipeline to God almighty.

Why does a pope who has the direct pipeline to God read a mans book that Christ did not authorize according to your group? Throw that thing out if it is not of God.

Be thankful that every Christian has a direct line to God through prayer. Christ in us our hope of glory.

I love it when people make arguments about things they are ignorant of. There is more Bible included in mass than you will hear in months at your 'Christian' service.

That does not included the Bible studies and personal readings.

Just by going to mass you will hear the entire Bible in 3 years. That is for every Catholic Church in the world.

As you read this now, there is a Catholic Mass going on in multiple parts of world reading scriptures.

The Church, which binds and loosens, and whoever hears the Church hears Jesus, created the Bible to help her teach.

There was hundreds of scriptures being circulated and it had to decide which ones was truly the inerrant Word of God.

You have accepted that book, but not the Church. You can't help you were born into a protester community. But you can educate yourself and listen to God and come home.

Reading that book would be a good start.

What did Jesus say about how is one to be forgiven of sins?

Catholic mass does not have to go on for people to be in the word... OPPS I forgot they cant understand because they are stupid so lets get a man called a pope (not found in the book) to read a book that is not important but lets read more of it then anyone else. LOL

Why you asking what Jesus said unless you want us to use the bible. Why didnt you just say what the Pope says about forgiving sin. Lets see say how many hail marys, and pay how much?

No problem- it reminds me of our self proclaimed prophet here:-). Do you accept this anointing is for you and everyone who believes that Jesus is Lord.

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.

If you do then God brings things to your mind and confirms truth. This is a place where we can draw a distinction between us and the catholics. We can be led by God without help from a man with higher authority-such as popes and priest.

My guess is that Mike believes that only the Pope or a select few can get that close with God/Jesus.

Me too. But you didnt answer how did Jesus set up the sacrament of the forgiveness of sins.

He told the men who started his Church that the sins they forgive would be forgiven in heaven and the ones they dont, wont.

Who on Earth do you go to for the forgiveness of your sins so they can be forgiven in heaven?

Jesus most certainly did not give authority to men on earth to forgive sins. That's ridiculous. You are referring to Matthew 16:19 which you are completely misunderstanding.

"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."

What Peter and the other apostles bound on earth had already been bound in heaven and they were under that authority.

If Peter was able to bind on earth then why did he stand condemned after the Jerusalem council for dissimulation? Galatians 2:11-13

We as humans can forgive each other when we sin against each other. However there is no one on earth who has the power to forgive sin. Jesus was/is the only man who can forgive sin.

Matt 9:6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home."

Before Jesus came no one had that authority. Jesus had that authority because Gods plan could not fail-looking forward to the cross where the penalty for sin was ultimately paid. No sin is forgiven without the power of the cross! We cannot bypass the blood and expect to be forgiven.

No! The communion is a symbol of Jesus blood and body, it does not miraculously turn into Jesus blood and body.

And for some of you in the coc, we do not contact Jesus blood in the baptismal water. It is a symbol and was shed only once for all time.

Do you guys see how close the coc and catholic church really are.

One true church

correct name

use of correct titles

correct baptism

correct patterns

etc.

If we want to give power to the gospel we must hang out at the cross and experience the power unleashed there!

If we want to get people saved we must take them to the cross and if they will believe that Jesus is God made flesh they will surrender at the sound of his mighty name. Trying to convince new converts to accept this or that theology before they meet Jesus only complicates his decision to accept the power of Jesus blood to forgive sin.

Get them saved at the cross and then gently add the deeper things.

Are you listening Heath?
