The church is not a physical thing. The church is the body of Christ.
Colossians 1:24
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

The body and the church are one and the same. All Christians are part of that universal body/church of Christ.
Jesus Christ is the head of the church/body
Colossians 1:18
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
And Christ is the one mediator between man and God.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Can you tell me who taught what all these verses mean? Do you believe in every verse in the Bible?

All you do is quote from the Bible. You believe the Bible is either/or. I believe the whole Bible. I believe the Bible is that/and.

You are saved by faith and you are saved by baptism, and you are saved by eating the body and drinking the blood of Chirst, and you are saved by confessing your sins, and you are saved by keeping the commandents and you are saved by feeding the poor, clothing the naked ect.

THAT/AND not EITHER/OR.

Who taught you the Bible contradicts itself?

We read them and comprehend them. The Bible simply means what it says. Yes I believe every verse of the Bible. We are saved by God when we obey Him.

We do not eat the body and drink the blood of Christ. We eat and drink representative emblems of his body and blood. Fruit of the Vine,(grape juice) and unleavened bread. The Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation is false.

Read:

1 Corinthians 11:24-27

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
KJV

This is an account of Jesus instituting the Lord's supper. Notice after He did it, he referred to the emblems as the "cup" and the "bread". If it had been miraculously transformed into His blood and body, Jesus would not have referred to it the cup and the bread afterward.

You have been brainwashed into thinking you cannot know what scripture means by simply reading and studying it for yourself.

And Mike.

For the record, you have referred to me as a protestant. I am not. I am a Christian. Just about all protestants believe in salvation by faith alone.

That is a false doctrine too:

James 2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

I am not a protestant. I am a just a Christian.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

If you are not Catholic, and you believe that Jesus was God then you are a protester. Therefore you are a Protestant. A Protestant is somebody who protests.

Do you go to some type of concert and seminar on Sunday mornings

If so you protest against all the other places that people go.

I do assemble on the Lord's day for worship with other Christians. I am not catholic, nor am I baptist, methodist, lutheran or any other denomination. I am just a Christian. And I am a member of the body of Christ. I have heard and believed the gospel (Mark 1:15). I have confessed and I continue to confess the name of Christ as the Son of God (Romans 10:10). I have repented of my former lifestyle and I serve Christ (Luke 13:3-5). And I am living faithfully and I intend to continue this as long as I live Rev 2:10.

You are a protester then. Not only do you protest the church Jesus started, but you protest every other church that came out of Jesus' church.

A protester is protester. Those who claim to be just Christian and meet with other Christians are on the second to the bottom rung of Church ladder. Your next step down is Jesus and me.

You need to start climbing that ladder to the top where the fullness of the Truth is. At your rung you have very little of it.

It is useless to argue scripture with a protester. You believe in Sola Scriptura, a man made invention in the 1500s, so you can never be wrong.

All throughout OT history God had a man on Earth in charge and each of them had successors.

Then Jesus came so the OT could be fulfilled. He never once mentioned a book that was coming that was going to be in 'charge'.

He did create a church however. 1 Church. He specifically said he built this Church on Peter after changing his name to Rock from Simon. Did you know that he was the first person in recorded history to have the name Rock?

What powers did he give his church. To bind and loosen and whatever was bound on earth by his Church was bound and loosen in heaven. Whatever sins the Church forgives or not, the same would be done in heaven.

Also the bible says the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. What does it say about scripture? It is profitable for teaching. Who is going to the teach it? The pillar and foundation of Truth, the Church.

You worship a book and have no clue of its history. To be deep in history is to cease being a Protestant.

I invite you read free of charge a history book written by an ex protestant Henry Graham in 1906, I believe. "Where We Got the Bible"

Please read. It is not long and we can discuss if you want. You can google it, if this doesn't work.

We are not saved by a book nor are we saved by a church, pope or any ordinary man. We are saved by Gods grace through our faith in the work of Christ on the cross.
1 john 2-27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
…17that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. 18"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19"After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.…
If we are trying to reach heaven through our works, they are dung in the eyes of God.
We were re-created in order to do good works not by piling up our works and hoping we have enough credits to qualify for salvation.
The church does not save Jesus does. Men can and do lead us to the cross but we are taught by the Spirit. The church does have a place in the plan of God but can never take the glory away from the cross.

1 Timothy 6:3-5
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
