Martinsville Church of Christ and the Robertson gang gives people more reason not to believe in God than Larry Surber gives reasons not to believe in God.

Surber admits he doesn't believe in God. Johnny, Micah, Mark and James say they're out to "defeat and destroy" because they say they believe in God. Their Church of Christ is a church that uses hate, deceit, deception, lies and slander in the name of God. Larry Surber has nothing on the Church of Christ. Larry Surber doesn't believe in God? He should leave the Church of Christ alone and let them keep making people doubt God.

John 17:20-21- "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they may also be one in Us, THAT THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE THAT YOU SENT ME."

Until we figure this out, the entire world won't believe in Christ. Fighting and division brings doubt.

Amen!!! Beginning date 1520. There is only 1 solution because there is only 1 Truth.

Many, mostly high end Prots, want to say "Oh we agree on so much, lets concentrate on are similarities. What does it matter?"

The Truth matters. Jesus said 1. There was 1 for 1500 years and there will be 1 again one day.

I must be way behind on here. Who is Larry Surver?

Mike, you are right in regards to most professing Christians saying, "Oh we agree on so much, lets concentrate on are similarities. What does it matter?"

I have opened this can of worms a number of times only to realize that none of us [including you] have full knowledge of Godly matters. How far we take this argument can be debated but we all do fall short of complete knowledge. You raise interesting points regarding how the Bible was supposedly canonized, and how some books became BIBLE whereas other writings did not. If many of your Catholic practices were always part of the Church, it is odd we find no BIBLE for them. I don’t wish to beat a dead horse again so I’m not going to list everything you guys do that cannot be backed with sola scriptura.

I have ask one question a few time that deserves an honest answer. If you have answered and I overlooked t, I apologize.

The question: can a sinner read the Book of Acts and determine how one becomes forgiven - added to the church?

The dead horse issue you mentioned is simple. There is nowhere in scripture that says scripture is the sole rule of faith. There is nothing in the Bible that contradicts what the Church teaches.

Your question: I don't believe any sinner can read the Bible by on their own, and find the fullness of the Truth to be saved by themselves.

Protestantism proves this.

Johnny's little brand of religion is cultish to the core. Do you know that many people who leave the Church of Christ wind up atheist. There is an atheist organization in Illinois called Skeptics Inc. whose entire board of directors are almost all EX-Church of Christ preachers! You will not hear that from Johnny though.
