No they don't, only God has the power to heal. To bad you don't believe in miracles/healing:-( Or much of anything else for that matter. Do you still agree with Johnny that there is no such thing as Spirit indwelling, maybe we should talk about that some more...

If the power to heal like the disciples had were around today then the Pentecostal church could put every hospital and funeral home out of business.

As we all know, that hasn't happened, because those powers are long gone.

I am not saying I agree with hyper pentecostal positions where men supposedly have the power to create miracles. I would not go to Benny Hinn for my healing. The assemblies of God are generally not that radical. The one thing they teach that I like is their position on salvation by grace. I don't think I could be a member of a church that did not teach and practice GRACE.

However, do you pray, asking God to heal your loved ones when they are sick or possibly on their death bed? I believe in the power of prayer and I believe in a God that hears our prayers. In other words I refuse to put him a box saying that he cannot heal or is not willing to answer when we pray.

I can hardly wait for Jesus to restore everything lost in the garden, where there will be no more sickness, death, hate or fear. No need for hospitals, doctors, police or prisons but a place where peace, love and safety prevails.

1 Corinthians 13:8-10 is Paul, writing with the holy spirit guiding his pen, telling those Corinthians that tongues will cease when "that which is perfect is come."
That which is perfect HAS come. The complete word of God. No more need for signs and wonders, or speaking in tongues to unbelieving Jews to prove something.
The Bible is complete and written down for you in a known tongue. Read it.
One problem with this scenario , what part does the Holy Ghost, play today? In your Church , the Holy Ghost does nothing.

If the Holy Ghost, dwells in you , it does nothing , because of the unbelief of the Holy Ghost, being powerless.

Do you perceive the Holy Ghost as a man or spirit?

Since you are not a Corinthian and 1st and 2nd Corinthians was not written to you why use verses from a book, witten only to the Corinthians?

The Holy Spirit seals the person who trusts the gospel of Jesus Christ for their salvation. That person is kept sealed until the day of redemption.

And they cannot lose their salvation either, because of it.

Romans through Philemon are written to us today so that we may know about the gospel of the grace of God.

And Paul didn't write Hebrews.

Oh no , a once saved , always saved person.

Still no answer , about the Holy Ghost, being a spirit or a man.

Still no evidence , of someone , receiving the Holy Ghost in the water either. I would love to find that verse.

Before I forget , I have heard all of the arguments about , the other instances of someone receiving the Holy Ghost, was a sign.

I guess the new converts at Samaria , was a sign , they were not yet sealed by the Holy Ghost at the water baptism. For some odd reason , they never received the Holy Ghost at repentance or baptism.

Oh before I forget , Peter and John , prayed for that they might receive the Holy Ghost.

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

They need to write a Bible , just for you , from Romans to Philemon.

Why not tear all the pages , out before Romans and after Philemon , they are of no use to you.

A silly answer , I must say the least.

Much controversy , arises over , which Apostles wrote what book. Man has been known to be mistaken , in a lot of instances.

Sice Revelation , is not for us today. Tell me a few things.

1. When did New Jerusalem, come down out of Heaven?
2. When did the two witnesses, preach for three and half years and were killed, the whole world saw them. Then they were resurrected and went to Heaven.
3. When was the 144,000 Jews selected ?

Since you do believe in Revelation , tear that book out too , it was for a different time period.

The Holy Spirit is a spirit. The spirit of God.

Everyone with a Bible knows this.

Since you are a "Oneness" believer, do you support the notion that Jesus was praying to himself in the garden of Gethsemane?

And...

"This is my beloved self, in whom myself is well pleased..."

There are lots more too.

Since you need to study Oneness , to be able to understand the theology.

John said in the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus), was with God, and the Word was God (Jesus).

Did the same Jesus, that came from Heaven , and born , die and return back to Heaven?

And while Jesus was in an earthly Body he set the universes on self control or angelical control-his throne was vacant.

And then Jesus raised himself from the dead and went back to heaven to restore control of the universe and retake his throne. I guess that makes sense-to some:-)

Acts 1:4-5 (KJV)

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Here, Christ clears up any misconceptions about Oneness in two easy verses.

It probably goes back years ago because I can't remember it. I think he should spend a few hours looking it up. That way he will have something to keep the evil part of his mind occupied.

Heath not to go back to an old subject but I dont see where you ever commented and confirmed if you were wrong or right saying bobby had signed a form with the church he worships with now. If you could clear that up it would be nice. By the way bobby responded to the question, so should you.
