The last 3 posts are a clear example of absurdity of SS.

The Book does not teach itself. This is very clear.

The pope and bishops wear garments with gold, in churches with gold, because every Sunday that we celebrate the Heavenly liturgy, which is happening in Heaven, we also celebrate it in our local parishes. We are entering into that one Mass for all eternity that was foreshadowed in the Old Testament.
Read Exodus 25 and 1 Kings 6. You will see in the Old Testament that the whole interior of the Temple in Jerusalem was overlaid with gold. This was a foreshadowing of what was to come in the New Covenant in the book or Revelation. The liturgy we attend each Sunday incorporates many small details that we see in the Book of Revelation. Even the Early Church Fathers, the very first Christians, who lived from 100 A.D. to 787 A.D., saw this.
Does your Church look like what is in Revelation?
Some high end Prots get it, low ends have no clue.
I don't believe Catholics know what is happening in heaven every Sunday. Even if they did different time zones in the world prevent mass from taking place at the exact same time within the Catholic church. Is Sunday mass different than mass held on other days by the Catholics? Because the church holds mass at other times is your Sunday mass different?

The catholic attempt to duplicate the temple is akin to remaining under the law. Catholics seem to want to create Old Testament worship with God dwelling in the temple. They have created a Vicar of Christ and they apparently pattern their worship places accordingly if what you say is true. I think the bible teaches in the New Covenant that God dwells in the temple Christian men and women. The early church worshipped in homes not special building layered with gold. Do you think Catholics impress God with their fancy places of worship with pedophile priests administering mass? You know it has happened, regardless of the churches denial without correction on their part. Catholics and others drag down the rest of the church because of religious practices that serve no other purpose than to give them superiority. The church as a whole would be more successful against overcoming sin which is certainly a problem for Catholics and Protestants alike if we followed God instead of man. I think the bible uses gold in a spiritual sense and does not tell us to build worship around physical things under the New Covenant but spiritual.

Rev.3:18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

In other words wouldn't the church be much stronger in their battle against sin is as a whole we followed the word of God, rather that the word of sinful man? I have shown before several times that having a Pope does not make the church sinless. Also I have shown examples of Popes that have exhibited very sinful behavior. Catholics have behaviors that are contrary to what the scriptures teach, they deny that but anyone can take a bible and see that. The twisting of a statement in Acts eight by Catholics does not change the fact all anyone other than a blind man can open the bible and see the Catholic church contradicts it with their practices.

You just described every church building ever built, no matter what name is out front.

Hardly, ask our two resident Catholics. Most protestants believe God dwells in man under the New covenant unlike the Old Testament where God dwelled in the temple. Catholics have to put something in their modified temple so they created the Pope and gave him the Vicar of Christ title. Their priests can only administer sacraments and can forgive sin even get you out of purgatory. The new testament church had none of this. Meeting in homes and those baptizing or offering communion were not priests and so on. I would be considered low end prot by them and glad of it. The churches I attend they make fun of because they do no consider them correct.

LOL No one knows the "churches" you attend only that they are part of the Sproulist cult and they give Welchs to babies.

What's always funny to me are to see these Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc. churches that look like copies of Greek temples. Four, six, or eight columns out in front. Rectangular layout. Altars for kneeling and worship.

The added modern twist is the steeples on top.

Paganism never really went away.

I assume, of course, YOU know the Word of God is? Seems to be some confusion about that in the Protestant world.

But you know and everybody else is wrong.

Alas, but only one contains the body and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The ones with Catholic on the sign. Even with Orthodox in the name.

It is a Holy place. Not a college lecture hall.

So is the Roman Catholic Church, entrusted with the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, expected to keep this in a Tupperware container sitting on a folding table from Lowes in a multi-purpose steel Butler Building? Y'all can keep your Welchs and crackers there if you wish.

Show me your source of how the NT Church met?

You are not considered a low end Prot, you are one.

The PC people call it low Church. Even your high end Protestant brothers call you low.

It is because you don't have a worship service. You have a lecture and call it worship.

The singing is just the opening act.

"Lets thank the choir, or rock band, for getting us ready, but here he is, lets give a warm welcome to the Preacher Man (or woman)!!!

Inside is where one finds major differences except in the case of Baptist and Church of Christ buildings...they are virtually identical.

While there maybe others I can only think of two Roman Catholic Churches with temple like front elevations: The Pantheon in Rome which literally was a pagan temple and St. Peter in Chains Cathedral in Cincinnati OH. Christopher Wren can be blamed for all those steeples.

The Pantheon is the first building of any real size that is made out of what became known as concrete.

Here is the Pantheon at 12:00 Noon on Pentecost Sunday.

The first time I saw St. Peter in Chains/Cincinnati I thought it was the ugliest First Baptist Church I had ever seen. The Greek Revival and the Roman Catholic Church are not a good mix!

I have been in the Pantheon when rain was coming in through the oculus. It dissipates quickly.

Rome is a great city, in general.

Got to go there on leave. Was briefly stationed at Aviano AB, just west of Venice.

The Vatican is an awesome sight too. They had just finished cleaning the Sistine Chapel ceiling. It was Technicolor.

Open your bible. They never had church buildings. No holy water or Mary worship.
