The word sacrament indicates that it is salvific. Communion is not salvific. Only the shed blood of Christ is salvific and it does not turn into the actual blood and body of Christ. If it did we would become cannibals. Why not trust in the works of Christ rather than to follow strict rituals not even found in scripture.
Real cool to throw 2,000 years of Christian theology out the window. I'll bet you even have a drum set down front.

So you are now reduced to posting Baptist websites. You crack me up! But then bet the church you attended this morning looked just like a Baptist church inside and you sang some good old fashioned Baptist hymns.

Guess you must agree with the site's evaluation of what you actually believe.

You might like this one too, I liked it a lot. This former catholic never knew how simple salvation is compared to the catholic system she grew up with.

You might give it a try, the baptist might take you back, they do not practice ex-communication. Once a baptist always a baptist, right?

That is good ole Matt Slick, a great "Catholic theologian". Knows more about the Church than the Church itself.

We had communion this morning and the pastor gave these instructions. If you have children who are to young to understand whether or not that have accepted Christ, please tell them not to partake at this time. If you are a visitor and comfortable with you salvation, you are invited to take communion with us. Communion is an ordnance not a sacrament.
Come on? Kids cant have crackers and grape juice? You admit it is just a symbol. That's not fair. Oh yeah you don't don't let your kids go to Jesus even though he said so. Children don't belong to the Kingdom of God even though Jesus said so.

The Pastor's kids loved this morning. They get all the leftovers, if they can make it to them before they go in the garbage.

Hey: You weren't worshiping pita chips and grape juice from concentrate was you?

Can't comprehend why someone would even think of going to Jerry Falwell Jrs. site to find out about the Catholic Church. Everything about the Catholic Church is readily available from the Church itself! I was never a Baptist even though many relatives are/were. You still haven't told us which brand you attended this morning. You are definitely are either ashamed of it or it is one of a kind like these "community" churches with big screens and drum sets.

I guess you believe a 21 year old young lady convinced a priest with 6 years of theological study that he was wrong by quoting one verse.

She just agreed with those in John 6:66. That teaching is hard.

We can do this all day and night if you want.

Theere is news of another prominent conversion as Dr. Francis Beckwith, the president of the Evangelical Theological Society, converts to Catholicism. Alleluia! Visit his blog and congratulation him!

"Dr. Francis Beckwith, the president of the Evangelical Theological Society, has become Catholic. Dr. Beckwith was raised Catholic but became an Evangelical Protestant in youth. After a review of Catholic theology and its basis, however, he has been reconciled with the Church."

Francis J. Beckwith is Associate Professor of Church-State Studies (tenured), Baylor University, where he teaches courses in the departments of church-state studies, philosophy, and political science. A 2002-03 James Madison Fellow in the Politics Department at Princeton University, he currently serves as a member of Princeton's James Madison Society. He is a graduate of Fordham University (Ph.D., philosophy) and the Washington University School of Law, St. Louis (Master of Juridical Studies).

On November 17, 2006 Professor Beckwith became the President of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS), a position that has a one-year term. He is the 57th president of ETS, an academic society that has over 4,100 members. In July 2005 he began a three-year term as a member of the American Philosophical Association's Committee on Philosophy and Law.

Dr. James R. White, Director of ETS, in his reaction, seems dazed, confused and shocked. However, I salute Dr. Beckwith as a man who has the courage to follow his conscience, convictions, and God's Call. Welcome Home Dr. Beckwith!

I notice you did not disagree with Matt's evaluation of catholic doctrine, so he must be telling it the way you believe it.

I had serious doubts that you were ever a baptist, thanks for clearing that up.

I attend a bible church, that is well known on here.

Hey one of my catholic friends told me they use drums, what is wrong with that, are we supposed to be confined to a harp. Read psalm 150

You want to know what I find most offensive about you guys and catholism-it's the spiritual pride thing-"we are the only true church". Anytime I hear that I think cult and run the other way. The church that Jesus died for is inclusive not exclusive and for a bunch of high minded do gooders.

It is totally inclusive. When your Protestant preachers said it was not a sin to keep black people as property, there were always welcome in the CCC.

You run for the other way, because you do want to do your own thing. Be in control.. What you think after 2000 years is more important than what the Apostles left in the Church

You have one more step to ground zero. The Bible Church and then the Bible and Me. Don't need no Church.

It is not too late to come home from the Church of your ancestors.

We are in the True Church. I am not going to lie about that. Jesus started 1 Church. There was only 1 Church for 1500 years. Therefore Jesus started the Catholic Church.

Father Luther split form the CC and started a Church and all protestant churches split from that Church until we have close to 40,000 now.

The CC will take everybody. Just come on home. But it does matter what you believe. It is a Kingdom not a democracy.

There might might be a church that will be found in hell-be careful. Of course the word bible is not found in the bible but neither are the words catholic or pope.

Home is where the heart is and my heart is not in the catholic church. If there is a true body of believers and I believe there is, God will do the separating of the sheep and the goats-not my job.

Your job is to find the Truth. Do you get it from a book that is sufficient for teaching, on your own, or from the Church which is pillar and foundation of Truth that does the teaching of the Book?

If we have to get it on our own from a book, then we have a cruel God. If we have to follow Jesus, then God has to provide us a sure way to know how to do that. He did that. 1 Teaching for 2000 years on salvation.

God has not changed. The word was given in Old Testament times in written form thru his chosen vessels. Same thing in the New Testament era. God is the same, Catholics like to add their own rules.

I did not realize you were having physical problems as well as mental problems and not in the CofC. I won't be picking on you again.
