Knowing what I know about the CofC I am being quite charitable.
Isnt it funny that people when challenged and are becoming afraid resort to name calling and stating things like church building looks like a garage. I was also enlightened by your comments about how great the buildings were the Catholics had constructed. You would have fit in good with the Jews that adored the temple structure.

Greater concern- do you listen to what you are saying? You sound like the Pharisees, not Jesus. Are you concerned about that?
And based on what I've seen you post about the Catholic Church I would say you are a hypocrite. The difference between you and me...I have experienced the CofC from the inside and I am a well informed Catholic convert. All you know about the Catholic Church is what CofC Catholic bashers have told you. I no longer take any crap from the CofC.

We are getting firsthand experience what the RCC believes and teaches from you and Mike. One of my mentors is a former catholic from Lima, OH. I disagree with your theology. Is that hypocritical? We call you sheep just following a shepherd, and you don't disagree with that.

You are explaining to us what the church teaches and we disagree. Are all of us hypocritical for doing so? And you're dodging the main point anyway.

Low end prots, low end coc, don't associate with the smoking and tattoo crowd. Cats only go to educated vets, not walmart and such. Only to people who know Latin behind their names. THE POINT- Jesus lived His life with those kind of people; you say you avoid them. "By their fruits you shall know them."

I've been called worse than stupid, ignorant, and hypocrite by church people. Heard worse said about others. You may not take any crap from the coc, but how many would take that crap from the RCC? It doesn't draw people to Christ.

Challenged and afraid? You are delusional and funny. It DOES look like a garage. I've always been amazed at how the CofC and Baptists can take beautiful bricks and create such hideous structures that look identical inside. The churches constructed by Catholics through the centuries are truly great and up until the mid 20th Century they all reflect those earliest basilican churches. Some contemporary Catholic churches are just as ugly and divorced from historical precedent as are all those of the CofC. Within 15 miles of my location there are 2 extraordinarily ugly Catholic churches. One is round and the other looks like a little airport terminal about to fly. Within those 15 miles there are at least 3 CofC churches all suffering from terminal ugliness. They are garage like, single wides, and boxes with a door. The only well designed CofC in use in the area was purchased from another denomination.

Rant on bro. I am not impressed. I know what this is. You and a couple others are accustomed to being the brightest bulbs in your little circles and can't handle it in a public forum where your deficiencies are clearly demonstrated for all to see.

So you are a Jew basher too! My heart knows ugly, tacky and tasteless when it sees it whether it's a church building or a tramp stamp and with the CofC I don't have to look very far for either. Of course it is difficult to tell a CofC from a Baptist church so sometimes I have to read the sign to know.

If catholicism was 100% correct, how many would either accept or reject it according to your statements or attitudes? Does it draw people to Christ, or turn them away? You make differences in people and don't associate with "undesireables". Already you differ from the Master. You think poorly of buildings that people meet in if they don't have that classic feel. The old Jews cried when they saw how drab the temple that was rebuilt was compared to Solomon's temple.

I've been on this forum for about a year. My deficiencies have been out there for all to see. I'm not the smartest, the brightest, etc. Just a humble servant trying to get home. We see catholicism through this forum, we're not seeing humble servants.

Isn't wisdom known by her children? Is it wisdom to think one Church is the only, or best, or better Church than the one across or down the street or in the next town, or the one over the hill?

We've still not learned the lesson of counting another better than ourselves?

Of course that is what Wisdom is . That's the whole point. Jesus started 1 Church. Better find out which one that is and join so you be can be in full communion in the Body of Christ.

Stop trying to be your own Pope.

So it looks like Dave P would be ecstatically happy if every word a Catholic posted convinced yet another CofC cult member to convert to the Catholic Church. These dudes crack me up!

Why would anyone leave one cult to join another cult?

A small portion of it is. Jim Jones came from the same movement. That does not excuse radical catholicism...

I would say catholicism meets almost every classic criteria of a cult. Human leader, extra revelation (tradition), taking something away from the divinity of Christ- an everyday sacrifice, mass offering, for sins; making Christ obedient to man. It fits. It isn't popular. Try getting a major spiritual leader to admit such. Catholicism points people to the church, the pope, not necessarily Jesus.

Coc been called cult for a long time. I'd partially agree-some sections probably are cults, just like Westboro Baptist is a Fred Phelps/Phelps family cult. No group is exempt from having some cult potential.
