2. Praying to Mary doesn't forgive sins.

4. Hail Marys- a ritual made up by Catholics
5. Asking priest to forgive sins- unscriptural.
The Catholic Church has left its first love- an organization built on doctrinal evolution and teachings that belittle Jesus and uplift man.
1. Who said it did? It is the temporal punishment. You steal. You confess and are forgiven. You still have to replace what you have stolen. That is penance.

2. Who said it did. Not the Church.

3. Not required by the Church. You can never say a Rosary and be a good Catholic.

3. Hail Mary. Reciting scripture from the Bible??

4. Confess your sins to one another. Whatever sins you forgive are forgiven etc. Direct from Bible. God forgives the sins through the priest. How would they know whether to forgive or retain them if you don't tell them.

First of all you are right, why would the Church create a book that disproves itself?
You are practicing SS without any Authority to do so.
Why do you ask so many at once? I will respond to a few.
3. We are all priests. The Priests and Bishops in the Church are ordained though and are successors to the Apostles. Laying on of hands of successors is in the Bible.
11. The Bishop cannot have had more than 1 wife. IF he had been married twice he could not been a Bishop.
8. It says call no man your Father. It doesn't say religious leader. What about Acts 7:2, where Stephen refers to "our father Abraham," or in Romans 9:10, where Paul speaks of "our father Isaac." They must have been asleep when Jesus taught that one that day.
Are you blind? Jesus said to pluck your eyes out if they cause you to sin. I know you have done that.
Love it.

here we go.

# 3. I Pet 2:5,9 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Say nothing of laying on of hands of apostles and includes all whom are christian.

#11. I Tim 3:2 4,5 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

MUST BE HUSBAND and Have Children. Does yours all have children in their house hold of a wife?

#8. Was Stephen a Jew? What would have been his linage? I think this is clear dont you?

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven

Now I know this is hard for you because your priest has not explained for fear you would not buy it. CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT. You realize what Jesus is addressing here dont you? I guess not. NOw go back and read the whole text and tell me why they were not to call ordinary man FATHER and compare it to your group.

Please tell us how you became a catholic.
I will. I grew up in the CofC where I was constantly told it was the original Christian Church founded at Pentecost and all others were evil apostate pretenders. I went to Sunday School, Sunday morning and Sunday night and Wednesday night services. I spent many summer evenings at revivals. I recall seeing a big wall chart of church history in the preacher's office which showed the church being underground from 300 AD until the 1800's. In my teens I began looking closely at the history of Western Civilization and particularly art history. I began to wonder how anything as evil as the Catholic Church could be responsible for Gothic cathedrals, extraordinary paintings and sculptures, poetry and literature. It dawned on me that I had been lied to by the CofC. After going off to a college which had a Roman Catholic Cathedral adjacent to its campus I decided to walk in one day just to see what it was like. It took a few years but I finally realized if I wanted to be in the original Christian Church I had to become a Catholic so I took the classes and was baptized and confirmed in my late 20's. It is not easy for an adult to become a Catholic. The process was really like the early church which required a year or two of teaching before baptism. Am I bitter about all those years in the CoC? You are damn right.

Let me ask for a third time. You guys seem somewhat reluctant to answer this.

If you had to use Scripture [the bible] and ONLY THE BIBLE - what church would you be in?

Without your history and sacred tradition, could the Bible today point you to Jesus as the way, the truth, and the Life?

Thanks for your thoughts. I will point out one error though that should also make you mad. In the early church (not the catholic but the first century) it did not take a year study to understand the Gospel that obedience to places you into the body of Christ. Just reference the conversion in Acts all of them but for sure the Ethiopian whom also was an adult.

Catholics judge the Bible by Roman Catholic doctrine and theology when they should judge Roman Catholic theology by the standard of the Bible. The Bible takes a backseat while Roman Catholic theology drives sacred tradition. There is no purgatory but rather that when we die to either go to heaven or hell- according to the Bible. Instead of following Christianity as taught in the Bible, Catholics concentrate on the worship of statues and their local patron saints. Penance is supposed to gain one merit in heaven yet no such practice in the Bible. The primacy of Peter, papal infallibility, the priesthood, infant baptism, confession, the mass, purgatory, the Immaculate Conception of Mary, and the bodily assumption of Mary into heaven are contrary to the clear teaching of Scripture.

No wonder you guys will not reply on the Bible as THE work of God that testifies of Jesus Christ. If so, you would drop all of the nonsense added by the Roman Catholic Church. In order to make the Catholic Church work you must count the Bible as incomplete and go outside of Scripture.

If they used the bible to guide them and obey they would be in the church that Christ died to form.

That is an invalid question The Bible has to have history. If it exists it is historical.

If its history was God rained down blue letter KJV Bibles and said "join the Jehovah Witness church", I would join the JW.

But God created the Catholic Church, and when I found that out, I joined it.

The Church created the Bible.

If you hadn't jumped on this one I was going to. On Acts 2 at Pentecost, how many years of "gospel study" did those folks have? An hour or two maybe? 30 minutes? The eunuch is a great example. Lydia- how long did Paul talk to her?

It might take years of study to become a catholic, but God doesn't have to work or wait that long.

Another error in the teaching from the RCC you can not JOIN the true church of God you are added to it by God only not by any man.

Your priest is not telling you the truth.

I beg to differ. It’s a very valid point. If you didn’t have anything but the Bible, what would you believe? What church would you be part of? The Bible was NOT “written” by the Catholic Church. So, are you telling me, apart from sacred tradition and the teachings of the RCC, the Bible cannot led one to Jesus- thusly be saved? If the Bible can lead one to God via Jesus Christ, then why do I need anything else? This is my point.

You JustChristian are a nasty, vile, evil and vicious fraud. It's too damn bad your mother didn't keep her legs tightly closed then you wouldn't have to worry about calling any man father. My CofC father beat me with tree branches until blood ran down my legs. He beat me so hard with belts my skin was broken. According to my family this started when I was barely a toddler and didn't end until I started the eighth grade when I had to take my clothes off for gym class. You cannot possibly imagine I care one iota what you think about the Catholic Church or your posts from these low end anti-Catholic websites.

Didn't you EVER study the history of the early Church? Conversions during the Apostolic Era were quite different than when the Roman persecutions began. An expert like you should know the difference and the reasons why.

The Church existed 350 years without a Bible. You can have the Church without a Bible. It is proven. It existed 10-20 years without 1 scripture and 60 years before the last scripture that made the Bible was written.

The Bible is the inerrant and inspired word Written word of God. It is not the complete word of God.

The authors even you tell you that.

You cannot have a Bible without the Church.
