We know the detail that a woman knew the way of God more perfectly than a preacher.
I can't help it if you don't happen to like that.
William is finally using That/And. Starting to catch on.

Women were in the upper room on Pentecost too.

And they and the men later sold out everything they owned and had all things common. Which you like to ignore.

THAT/AND. You are really coming along.

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

I like this verse. It refutes once saved always saved too.

But wait says low enders. "He must have been saved to begin with."

How on earth are you going to be able to sell out everything you own, and then be able provide for your household? The household that you are supposed to also hate?

THAT/AND

John 6:64-65, "But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. 65 And He was saying,“For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been granted him from the Father.”

This is in reference to Judas

Thank goodness the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth , huh? Jesus was pretty smart not to leave a book in charge.

Well, what does Rome say about hating your wife and children, and then providing for them after you have sold out everything.

My guess is they will tell you to sell out everything "in a spiritual sense". That's how the
Pentecostals and Church of Christ get around it.

I took transformational grammar in college as an elective mainly because my wife was in there and I found diagramming sentences fairly easy.

The main verb in the sentence is follow and the subject is me. Jesus.

Whatever prevents you from following him like that wealthy dude. You need to get rid.

Same thing about sinning. If your eye causes you to sin pluck it out. Your arm, cut it off.

Jesus was a pretty good teacher. He left those things in good hands. Peter and his successors.

He is wrong because he is a low end protester like you who believes in SS but only for themselves.

Jesus wants us to be as one. Does God want the whole world to believe like you?

In other words, are you infallible in you interpretation of the Bible?

Mike just educated you guys if you'll listen. His explanation is right. I'm sure its because the church said it was ;)

William says that pentecostals and coc get around stuff by "spiritualizing". William gets around stuff by saying 3/4 of the NT is irrelevant for us gentiles and applies only to Jews. All he has is Acts-Titus.

We can get around stuff by literally interpreting hyperbole, figures of speech and symbolic prophecy.

I am beginning to think you are not who you say you are.It sounds like the same old game of playing both sides against the middle. Lots of fake stuff going on here. You have flip flopped all over the place -maybe Randy's multiple personalities is at work again. Mike and I may be the only ones here who are who we say we are. Our positions don't change with the wind.

Here we go again. I am not Dave. Neither do I have multiple personalities. In fact, I have been tested a few times and have an INTJ personality > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTJ which means I tend to over think things and try to look at the big picture. My personality demands “reason” and “logic”.

I’m just being honest, Bobby … Mike does make points which we all (including me) avoid. I’m not saying I am ready to bow to Mary or become a Catholic because I am not. I would side with Orthodoxy, maybe Catholicism, if they didn’t esteem Mary equal with Christ. Besides, they have other doctrines I cannot agree with. Nevertheless, Mike does make points we should not overlook.

• How did the early Church survive without a Bible
• Why didn’t Jesus mention a Bible would be our guide
• Why were some books included as “bible” prior to 1611 that we do not have now
• Why did the early Church regard Baptism to be part of salvation

This is but a few off the top of my head that we have answered adequately. I’m sure Mike can add more to this list.

If you can think of some way I can prove to you I am not Dave and he isn’t me, I’d happily oblige. I can give you my phone number and address. I promise you, I am not Dave.

Shaking my head at Bobby. Do you know why it seems like I flip flop?
*I don't agree with most evangelical belief systems. I agree with you somewhat on baptism now. I reject the sacramental view of it, point is salvation, etc.
*I believe progressive dispensationalism (Williams system) is abject falsehood. Its butchering, not rightly dividing the word of truth.
*I find that catholicism/orthodox have history and much theology on their side. The Mary stuff no. I also find that prots falsely accuse catholics of teaching things they don't.

*I agree with BW on one point-most dividing doctrines comes from misinterpretations of Paul's writings. Not Jesus. Protestantisms major teachings all come from Paul's letters.

And the only things the modern evangelical world agree on are catholicism and premillennialism.

I'm not flip flopping. You're seeing one mans manifold beliefs. And they don't fit in any certain box.

Because the Church said so. You are correct.

Who did Jesus give all authority to?

It is all about who has the authority to speak for God
