The Gift of the Holy Ghost

Acts, Chapter 2
38:Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

1. Repent

2. be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

3. receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

"and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"

Have you received the gift of the Holy Ghost?

How come none of you love the Lord to stand up for your faith?

Do any of you have the Light of Life?

Do any of you even know what this is?

Ye men of Israel must be out fixing the plumbing in the baptismal font today.

My guess is they are at mass repenting of everything they said on topix this past week. I bet the priest dreads to see those two come thru the door, it will probably be an all nighter for the priest.

That is why God created confession.

The Priest will say your sin is you have not done enough.

And then he will say just put a smiley face after every remark like BW. That will make it okay.

Is that what Jesus and John taught? If we confess our sin to God, He is faithful to forgive us our sins. I John 1:9.

Why did God give us of His Spirit?

Romans 9 outlines the covenant was made by God to Israel. Even Jeremiah 31:31 notes the better covenant was made to Israel. Gentiles are only partakers in the covenant through being grafted into the true Israel of God - and then we are bound to the same covenant they are. God never made a covenant to the Gentiles, but made a covenant to Israel that also allows repentant and believing Gentiles to become partakers of the same covenant.

Ezekiel 36:26 shows that the Spirit was given for a reason:

"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."

The new covenant is better because of better promises, better sacrifice for sins, and a fuller revelation of the fullness of the grace and truth of God that He desires us to grow in through being hearers and doers of His will.

To merely be immersed per Acts 2:38,39, and fail to recognize hearing and doing whatever Jesus said is questionable at best, as both Moses and Peter said that whoever doesn't hear whatever that Prophet told us will be cut off.(Acts 3:22,23)

He did warn us all when He said there will be some He will tell; 'Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity (lawlessness/Torahless).

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by what?

Do you really believe what has been revealed - the once for all faith of Jesus Christ?

Predetermined sin, great idea, that will keep them coming back for sure.

What is predetermined sin. Something RC made up?

Do you love Blessed Mary as much as he does?

Made up? Possibly but not by me, I am a Pope.

That is why God created confession.

Sounds predetermined to me. My decision stands.
