Exactly what I said.
Sufficient for teaching so that the man of God may be complete and equipped.
Who is going to teach? The Church which is the pillar and foundation of Truch.
The Church can exist without the Bible. It did for 350 years. The Bible cannot exist without the Church
Well Lets see what it says again. Now read closely as the answer is given.

16 All Scripture is [h]inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for [i]training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

What is the noun in the sentence?

The written word came after the Church.

The Oral word of God (Tradition) started on Pentecost, the day the Church was started.

The first scripture that the Catholic Church declared inspired did not come until 10 year after the Church started. The last one to make the Bible came 60 years after the Church started.

The Bible came 350 years after the Church started.

What did Jesus say is the pillar and foundation of Truth?

What did he say about the Bible? Nothing

He is wasting his time with SS.

The scriptures were explained when the authors were alive. The Church had already started. They could ask Paul if he really meant Does the Church have the fullness of the Truth.

Do you really think the meaning has changed since then? 2000 years later and Dave and JC are finally going to get it right. The Billions and Billions of Christians that have lived have all been wrong up until now.

Of course I know. I took college courses in Christian and Bible history.

Tell me exactly your theory on how what scriptures were declared inspired and why others were not. In other words, tell me how the Bible was created.

The JC version of history.

Mike, I'm about to write you off as someone not worth replying to at all if this is all you grasp. If you think Jesus said nothing about the Holy Set-Apart Scripture, you're mistaken VERY badly, to the point of not knowing what He taught, which makes me wonder if you actually believe His word at all. If you don't believe what He taught, you are an unbeliever.

I'd suggest you go through all His teachings and see if your testimony of Him is the truth, or a lie taught by your 'Church.'

The JC version of history.
The letters and writings especially of the NT were saved by those folks who knew with certainty that the writter was inspired. They knew this for one reason for sure. The Miracles that were performed were done by those inspired men and so when a letter came from that person they knew to preserve it.

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Mark 16:15-20
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Hebrews 2

King James Version (KJV)

2 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Now if a person came to your house and raised someone from the dead and later wrote you an instructional letter what would you do with it?

You did not answer the question on how the Bible was created. you quoted verses from the Bible .

I believe all those verse and everyone in the Bible

Why is the Epistle of Barnabas not in the Bible. What about the Shepherd of Hermas? The Gospel according to Hebrews? The Apostolic Constitutions? Pauls Epistle to the Laodiceans? The Doctrine of the Twelve Apostles?

All of these and hundreds more were being circulated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Centuries.

Why did 1st John and Revelation make the bible and the ones above didnt?

Randy: It is all about Authority. Who did Jesus leave the Authority too? A book that anybody can decide on their own what Jesus taught that has created 30,000 churches, from writings produced 2000 years ago, with the originals gone, and with almost 30,000 translations across the world? You even like one of those that 1 Jewish man created 3 years ago by himself.

Do you believe that you know the fullness of the truth and that you can lead all to heaven?

OR you believe it doesn't matter what we believe, only that Jesus died for our sins and if we live a good life heaven is ours?

I believe Jesus when he gave the Keys to Peter and he told the Apostles to go start his Church which is the pillar and foundation of Truth, that is his Bride, that binds and looses, forgive sins or retains them? Whoever hears his Church hears him.

I believe the historical proof that the CC is the Church Jesus started because it it the only one for 1500 years and longest lived organization in the history of the world.

With all of the sinners in the Church over those 2000 years, God would have destroyed it if was not his Church.

Or
Upon you Peter, I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail.
I believe it because the Church Jesus built tells me.
He said upon this rock, not upon you Peter - there is a difference. Look back through the previous two chapters to see the flow of what He was teaching and how this conversation fit in. How could Jesus be building the Church on Peter one moment, then the next we find Him rebuking Peter for not having God in mind first? Back up and encircle what He was saying. In the sermon on the mount - what did He say we are to build our lives on? I think this passage relates to the other if we think it over enough, and putting Peter as the point of foundation doesn't seem to be the focus I think I hear you saying he is...

What did He say the mainstays of the foundation are?

And are all the Saints living stones in the temple indwelt by God?
