Unbeliever? Why respond to a post with a question that doesn't make sense.
I am unbeliever of most things you post.
My point was that everyone is an unbeliever at some point in their lives. Being an atheist is clearly being an unbeliever. I will go as far as to say that where catholics have faith in their system over and above Jesus are in danger of being unbelievers. What/who we trust in is important.

You are an unbeliever. You believe in the some parts of the Truth, the ones that fit your 'point of view' but you are an unbeliever in the whole Truth.

Right back at ya, only difference is that catholics accept tradition over truth.

We accept what the Apostles left us. Teaching by Letters and Tradition.

Just like the Bible says.

You take part of the teachings, written, and do whatever you want with it.

Wow - this conversation took a turn, didn't it?

This is more of a discussion about.. how do we know what "truth" is true?

It would be easier if it were multiple choice -- let's try:

(A) I know the truth.
(B) You know the truth.
(C) No one knows the truth.
(D) Someone knows the truth, but not me.
(E) There is no truth.
(F) The truth doesn't matter.

Which is it?

C & F all get my votes

Christianity vs catholicism for you.

ASM, after D you should have made E this:

Someone knows the truth, but not you.

The truth doesn't matter. How so?

Sorry about that, wish it was not happening. When catholics say they are the only true church, we cannot accept that. The scripture says that there will be wolves in the sheep pen.

"Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.

Jesus is the gate not the pope or mary...

C. S. Lewis :
Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for these desires exists. A baby feels hunger; well, there is such a thing as food. A dolphin wants to swim; well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire; well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.(Mere Christianity, Bk. III, chap. 10, "Hope")
Ya know, that's a real nice sentiment but, in all honesty, if you really believe that you were "made for another world" why do you claim dominion over everything in this one?

This sounds very much like anti-colonialism. Yeah, those bad old Christians, bad old capitalists, bringing people upward instead of leaving them behind in the stone age. Helping lifespans double in a short amount of time. Improved standards of living across the globe. Bringing information and technology into the darkest parts of the globe.
Maybe you like Islam better. The people of the middle east were the leading mathematicians and scientists until Islam came along. They've been stuck in 890 AD or so ever since.
Don't like manifest destiny? Blame Andrew Jackson and John L. O'Sullivan.
I'm not talking about colonialism or imperialism, that's a whole other subject. I'm talking about expansion, there is a difference. It's right there in your Bible. Cain being the original agriculturist/expansionist. Christianity is a follower of Cain. Your Christian interpretation is corrupt. No offense intended. As far as "helping lifespans double" Adam lived hundreds of years as did Noah, so what are you talking about. At the height of the churches power, life expectancy was at it's lowest. And where did you get this improved standard of living across the globe? If I had to choose between clean water and a man on the moon, I want clean water. But we could of had both, had we just gone a little slower and kept our humanity. The San people of Africa {Bushmen} are completely loosing their standard of living, and not being given a choice about living their traditional lifestyle or as you refer to it, the stoneage, they are being forced into an agriculurist lifestyle. Now you might see that as a good thing as the Christians with the Native Americans did. Obviously no lessons were learned there. Point being, these small groups of tribesmen have been able to survive and flourish for tens of thousands of generations living close to the earth. It has only taken five hundred generations for Christian/expansionist culture to bring the world to her knees, simply because Christianity claims dominion over everything and shows no regard for anything.

4-Why should you take some of the Bible literally and some of it in theory only?
Because they are of this world and not of God. If you are of God you can throw the bible away because the Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God.

The bible is for those who do not have the Spirit of truth.

If you have the Spirit of truth as you can read in the bible...then why would you need a book to know truth?

You would not.

6-Can a miracle be considered true?
Everything is a miracle by God. Every time you inhale and exhale the air into and from your lungs is a miracle. Everything thing you see is a miracle. Your eyes are a miracle. You see miracles with them. Think about it. You would not even know colors was unless your eyes could see it and tell the difference between all the colors you see.

Miracles upon miracles. So you see the greatest miracles that the Spirit of God performs every day all day long and all night long all over the earth...WE ALL TAKE FOR GRANTED.

How could anyone not love God? No matter what?

Think about this.

Of all the snow flakes that ever falls from heaven. No two are alike.

Now that is a miracle is it not?
