You sure do hold the catholic lady in low esteem-thinking she would hit on a married man. I have more respect for her than you do. It's about time you made a trip to the confession box...
And I thought you were too old to be that naive. Of course she could be after your wife.

Is that normal for catholic behavior? I understand that the confession box is rarely used these days...

Silly boy everyone knows Jesus started the Presbyterian Church the day after He started the Bible Church.
Of course, that's common knowledge. It's the Catholic church that we have trouble verifying.

LOL. Mark, I have more respect for the Catholic widows than you and Mike do. Don't you trust them at all?

I was insinuating that catholics ignore their confession box, meaning he needs to confess his sin:-)

Read your history folks. Read about the oldest apostasy from the truth, the RCC.

We call them saved in the hands of God but not because of water baptism or lack thereof. I know you try to hinge water baptism with OT circumcision. Have you considered how many old testament people who were never baptized or circumcised-none of the baby girls were or their mothers. You just cannot make water baptism or circumcision the savior-the evidence is just not there.
Abraham was declared Justified by faith long before circumcision was instituted. I guess you know that there was no circumcision, baptism or any other ritual performed on people from Adam to Abraham for their salvation. So I guess using your system Adam and Eve and the rest are in hell right now. Bud, you have a real messed up system.
Baptismal regeneration is a lie!
Bobby, what matters most if it is not to put our trust, life, person, future, past and today into the hands of God by faith that He is true and true to His judgments and promises?

Would you agree?

My Jesus has all the authority I need-don't need your pope. Since you and Mark came along, I have lost respect for your pope. Thanks, I see him differently now-do not need that kind of spiritual bondage!
The cross is the most important and most powerful event the world has ever known and you cannot understand it. You would rather have faith in catholic rituals/traditions.
[1 Cor 1:18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
[Eph 2:16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
[Col 1:20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
[Gal 2:20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Paul also said we are saved by grace through faith and not by works. Clearly found in the scripture but not according to your pope, he has all authority in heaven and earth-not Jesus.
'Christians' are disciples of Jesus Christ. What is needed is to double check what the Lord and the Twelve had to say about the same matters you noted from Paul's letters - is this what they also taught? To date, I have found no such passages. This isn't to justify the RCC take on the doctrines, but to show what Jesus wrote to Ephesus in Revelation chapter 2 could well have been a note to them about Paul. If I were able to prove one person or Church false, that would not of necessity make the other Church true by default. Truth is truth, and it resides in abiding in the Truth and the words He gave us.

Like anyone who knows the passion story knows that the only thing nailed to the cross than the Lord was the statement of His being the king of the Jews - not the ten commandments.

Read the Bible folks. Jesus said his Church would never fail and it will be here until the end of ages. And it hasnt failed and is still here.

The history books prove this and also proves it was the only Church for 1520 years.

Jesus has protected it from invading armies, sinners from within, and Protesters for 2000 years.

Jesus sure has not protected Protestantism. 40,000 splits and I think the number is at least 1 a day, all of the bickering among themselves as the truth holders.

Jesus: I pray that we should all be one as the Father and I are one.

Protestants - disobedience to God

And how do you know what his judgments and promises are. We know the Bible is not the pillar and foundation of Truth.

Like Paul said, it is sufficient for teaching. The Church came 350 years before the Bible so the Church has to be the teacher.

You know, the little booth where the priest gets to hear all the goodies on everyone. I know you and Mark have no idea where it is or if there is one but some Catholics use it. You and Mark should try it.

How do you know it was not the Orthodox church that Jesus was speaking of or the Aramaic churches? They have been around a long time and it seems they will be till the end. They never were the cause of a split in the church. Although they are not a perfect church they do not have the history of error and scandals the Catholic church does. They have not paid out billions and billions and billions in court settlements to keep the truth hidden a much as they can. We do not see any pictures of Orthodox and Nazi hand in hand do we? The other churches never charge people to get their loved ones out of purgatory or tried to kill their opposition as the the Catholics have. Just maybe Jesus was speaking of a church other than the Catholic church.

Nope Jesus was speaking of the CC.

The Orthodox is a great Church. They are Catholic, but the world knows they don't have authority. They have split too based on Authority.

Every Church had a pedophilia problem. Even the Orthodox and every Protestant church. Lots of sick people in the world.

Do you want a list?

On the surface I would say yes. But I know what you are actually saying, because we have been divided over it from the beginning of our discussions. Our works/obedience always fall short. No one has perfectly kept all the commandments of God including both of us, except for Jesus.

James says this. "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it".

I don't even have to follow you around and see if you still break the commandments because the scripture says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

The man who thinks he has no sin should take heed lest he fall.

I like you, you are a good guy with a good heart, I have never meant any disrespect toward you but we are not on the same page on this one.

"For we are Godís handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" That is true, but it is not how we are saved.

Oh the confessional. That can be anywhere.

God said to confess your sins to one another and gave the Church the authority to forgive sins or not.

Straight from the Bible.

Sins must be confessed to a Catholic Priest for forgiveness, straight from the Catholic church not the bible.
