And if you were a Jew on that infamous Day of Pentecost, that is exactly what you would have had to do to show repentance for killing your Messiah. And then you would have to endure to the end to be saved, as Acts 3:19-21 says.
Were you a Jew who was physically present on that Day of Pentecost who heard Peter's exhortation?
Now william are you saying only those Jews present on that day were the ones responsible for the rejection and killing of the Christ?

Those Jews rejected and killed the long-prophesied Jewish messiah. That is what Peter is convicting them of in Acts 2. That is what his exhortation is about.

"Ye men of Israel, hear these words..."

I will comment briefly then will return tomorrow. When Paul mentions baptism, are you contending it to be “Spiritual” baptism or figurative language? Basically, you are saying Romans 6 is DRY and not referencing water baptism, right? What would Romans 6 mean “if” you believed Paul to being speaking of water baptism?

Paul's reference to baptism is the baptism BY the Holy Spirit.

Have to address this before I get off of here.

One must be born of "water and the Spirit." -John 3:5. We are saved through the "washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit." -Titus 3:5. These passages bear the same meaning as 1 Corinthians 12:13. Paul teaches that we enter into the body of Christ by means of the Spirit's teaching because by his teaching we learned that we needed to be baptized thus Paul could say, we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to.

The "ye must be born again" of John 3 isn't us. It's Israel.

Nowhere does Paul tell anyone to be born again, or to be born of water and the spirit.

The Holy Spirit reveals Scripture:“Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets BY THE SPIRIT”- Ephesians 3:5

And uses it as the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God -Ephesians 6:17.

The Spirit's role in conversion is to reveal to the sinner the word of God so that the Spirit, THROUGH THE WORD, can save him as he responds to the gospel.-Romans 10:17; James 1:18, 21.

Saul [Paul] was told of Ananias rise BE BAPTIZED and WASH YOUR SINS AWAY –Acts 22:16. Paul would not submit to one teaching then form another. Paul “obeyed the gospel” thus added to the BODY OF Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:13 simply means that we enter into the body of Christ by means of the Spirit's teaching.

The baptism of the Great Commission, is an immersion administered by men. The command is:“Go ... make disciples ... baptizing them" -Matthew 28:19.

Paul declared there is “one baptism”(Ephesians 4:5). If you are advocating Spirit baptism, water baptism has been removed which would contradict Matthew 28:19, for that baptism was to continue to the end of the Christian age (Matthew 28:20).

The Holy Spirit's role is to seal the person who has trusted the gospel of Jesus Christ until the day of redemption, and to act as teacher.

1 Corinthians 2

I would much rather have the Holy Spirit as my teacher than to rely on the wisdom of any man.

Paul, writing with the holy spirit guiding his pen, did indeed declare one baptism.

Baptism BY the holy spirit, when you trust the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It ain't water.

William, I have argued this a dozen times with these guys but every time they see the word baptism they automatically see water. That is why I always refer to water baptism by using both words together so there will be no confusion. Church of Christ folks have typically been slow to accept the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the ones who do accept, are convinced that water baptism is "how we receive the Spirit". This explains their reluctance to accept the thief on the cross being saved by faith only or Cornelius receiving the Spirit before water baptism. It would take a load of dynamite to separate them from their faith in baptismal regeneration. They hate that term and try to deny that is what they teach but I have not been able to separate them from their water theory. If there are exceptions to the rule then salvation is not a result of water but by the Spirit we are regenerated. There is no salvation/regeneration without the involvement of the Spirit.

"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

Eph 4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Water is not mentioned at all in the above passage but the word "Spirit" is mentioned twice. And yet they claim the one baptism is water.

I don't see repentance in the verse you posted but we know from other passages that we must repent. Oh, the verse does mention baptism. Jesus also commissioned water baptism until the end of days. Paul says one baptism so it's not rocket science trying to determine which ONE he is speaking about.
