Absolutely not. Get behind the wheel stoned and it's the same as drinking while driving. Impaired is impaired.

So instead of legalized weed, we should criminalize alcohol?

Alcohol and driving has been criminalized. Weed while driving means impaired driving. No difference whatsoever.

Better get some Tabasco sauce to go with it.

So weed is okay unless you're driving?

Are you claiming Viagra is not a recreational drug? Please share your perspective.

That's not the issue. The issue is should a person go to jail for owning or smoking pot?

There is a big difference between driving drunk and driving stoned.
A drunk driver speeds past a stop sign like it's not even there, a stoned driver stops and stares at it, waiting for it to turn green.

Viagra is a prescription drug used to treat a medical condition judged by a physician.

If it were a recreational drug, the FDA would have classified it as such.

They did not.

It is against the law.

Well, it's a stupid law. So it should be changed. Do you think pot should be illegal?

Who cares what the FDA classifies it as? Men take the drug so they can have fun having sex (recreation).

Don't tread on weed! Legalize it. Pot is safe, it's the laws against it that are dangerous.

You are free to petition the FDA to change it's classification of the drug.

Yes it should be illegal. Everyone that I have ever known that has used it has used it to excess and it has affected their lives negatively. Lost marriages, lost careers, and legal trouble.

I've had a friend lose his life to it as the result of a car accident. He was stoned on it, and a train hit him at a crossing back in the 80's. If he had not been high on weed, he would not have had that accident.

It is a dangerous drug and it should remain illegal.

From a practical point, companies will still check for pot use and the employee will be terminated for it use.

Making it legal means more will use, more will lose jobs, and more will be on government assistance.

More on government assistance means higher taxes. Taxpayers will be subsidizing grass use.

That being said, when I am retired and if it is legal, I will give it a shot. I have medical reasons people claim it helps.

Weed violations only started after prohibition ended. The subject of weed is more now then ever on should it be legalized or not. During prohibition, if you were caught drinking a beer and smoking a weed, you were arrested for drinking, not the smoking. Weed use went up after WW 2. Concerns of it shot up also. The dangers of weed is no more then getting drunk and stupid. Smoking a cigarette is considered, but not factual, more dangerous then smoking weed. It is all politics. When money can be made be made and it can be tax, it will become legal then.
