It's sad of how we've become! Lockdown used to mean for prisons! I think responsible citizens had better get their concealed weapon permit, get the proper training. Learn some tactics. How do I know, I did some of those things in the Navy,it's good fun when you sneak up on the "enemy"! You get that funny,"OG! S........T!! look. Priceless!

I would also like to point out that I would'nt try to be a "hero". Just hold the piece of dirt until the coppers arrive! Then again... if he shoots first...showtime! Peace!

Must have been a Yankee, since he told the housekeeper to be quiet.

A Southerner would've told her to HUSH (puppy)!

All of the comments are just stupid, stupid, stupid. Hope none of yours kids or relatives ever get caught in a shooter on campus and gets killed.

You should think about that before you open your stupid mouth.

To all of you who seem to think the campus over reacted, my son is a resident in Basset Hall, knowing my son would never be involved in something like this it bothers me greatly that he was questioned as were many others while staring at an assault rifle, but I would rather him be questioned and be alive to answer than be dead and me left to question Ferrum as to why they did nothing to protect him. Please don't comment back about constitutional rights and being paranoid because when it comes to a funeral should of could of's don't count any more. And for those of you who are complaining about shutting the campus down early don't you think this scared these kids, and some test just doesn't seem important.
