You are a clueless idiot once again because you like to toss around the word infallible without knowing anything about it. Why don't you tell us how many times a Pope has declared a teaching of the Church to be infallible. And which Bible would you like me to use? Alexander Campbell's? Apparently not many of you folks thought it was infallible and ignored it!
You didn’t let me down, I was waiting on that “clueless idiot” comeback. Do you feel better now?

I’m still waiting on some Bible to back up what you guys believe. Oops, I said BIBLE, and we all know you’re not going there for your Pope, Mass, kissing the feet of stoned saints, praying to Mary, praying to the saints, Rosary beads, Hail Marys, etc.

I've noticed when the CofCers are confronted with inconvenient truths about former Baptist and Church of Christ founder, Alexander Campbell, all they do is ignore them and bash the Catholic Church! When it gets right down to it I think they all suffer deep embarrassment because their worship spaces look just like Baptist churches inside and they aren't quite sure why.

Take your pick of any of those I will accept them as the bible does. However you will not find Roman Catholic in the bible. Wonder where that came from.

Mike, time and time again I have seen Mark use speech that does not represent Christ at all. In fact, he has used cuss words on occasion. Is this what all Catholics do? If not, why do you sit by and not ask your Catholic brother to clean his speech if he wants to represent Jesus Christ and THE CHURCH.
What's a cuss word? Is cuss words in the Bible?

I noticed that you guys do not care to discuss the inconsistencies among the so-called infallible Popes. This alone kills your man-made Church and its man-made doctrines. The Popes are suppose be infallible and all-knowing yet through-out history we find disagreement. That, Mark, is a major strike against YOUR CHURCH.
You will not argue from the Bible because doing so reveals something, doesn’t it? It reveals YOUR CHURCH to be man-made. Luke recorded the early Church – did he forget to mention the Hail Marys, the praying to Saints, kissing the feet of Clay/stone saints, Rosary, etc.???????
Peter preached Jesus and gave a blueprint for forgiveness. Did Luke fail to mention Mass and other ADDED TRADITION? Shame on Luke, he must have missed part of Peters message and teaching. But wait. I can’t find Catholic doctrine at all in the Bible. No wonder you guys hate SS.
Okay, time for you to come back with,“clueless or idiot.”
It is impossible to talk about the Bible with Sola Scriptura allowed. Everybody is their own authority. Do you know has asinine that is.

Everybody is right.

Once again. Protestant bible study and 'argument'.

Paul meant this.
No he meant that.
Yes he did .
No he didnt.

Just spinning wheels and 40,000 non Catholic ecclesial communities.

Once again you read a Catholic book and try to tell the successors to the writers what they mean.

Did you know the Church asked the authors what they meant if they had to when they were alive? They belonged to the Church.

But you, one of hundreds of millions know what it means 1600 years and 300,000 translations later because a spirit told you.

Can't you realize how dumb that is. 2000 years later and only you know the truth.

Don't tell the bereans who searched the scripture daily. I guess people can read the old testament and draw logical conclusions but need a pope to assist when reading the new testament. Hmm.

Even the good old tried and true KJV New Testament wasn't good enough for the founder of the Church of Christ. Pope Alexander Campbell, the former Presbyterian/Baptist, created his own version, changing and even leaving out words. Funny thing is today's Church of Christ and its sycophants use the KJV exclusively having never heard of The Living Oracles maybe because Campbell changed the name of the New Testament as well.

I make it a practice to never countenance fools especially those of the low end prot persuasion. Are you saying I should show up at the Bible Church just for the fun of it? Or should I spend 25 years studying Alexander Campbell and still not know s**t about him!

Your history is not worth a damn.

The Bereans did not believe in SS, they were noble than the Thessalonians who did.

The Thessalonians did not agree with Paul's interpretations of the OT scriptures.

The Bereans did. They looked at the scriptures when Paul was teaching that Jesus was the Messiah and said yes.

The Thessalonians did not need anybody telling them what to believe . They believed in what they wanted to.

You might just learn the truth one day , but I doubt it. You are too proud like the Thessalonians.

Nothing in the Bible contradicts anything else in the Bible.

The Bible as the sole rule of faith is not in the Bible.

It is profitable. That is why the CC created it. To help the Church teach.

Show where Jesus said I will leave you a book and figure it out yourself.

I can show you a lot about a Church.

A book with 300,000 translations and millions of interpretations.

Think about it.

Oh, I have thought much about this, Mike. In fact, I have raised some of these points on other sites. However, you are overlooking something: you are in the same boat as all of the human race. You read and determine what something means just as we all do. No just this, but your Popes do as well. They have been wrong as I pointed out already. Basically your point is mute and falls flat on its face.

The disciples repeatedly argued about who was the greatest among them, even after the words of Matthew 16:18-19 were spoken (Luke 22:24). The disciples don't seem to have had any concept of Peter having been established as their ruler. Paul wrote about apostles (plural), not a Pope, being the highest order in the church (1 Corinthians 12:28). He also wrote that, in terms of apostolic authority, he was in no way inferior to any other apostle (2 Corinthians 12:11). Paul writes about church government over and over again (1 Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 4:11-12, etc.), but never mentions a papacy. To the contrary, he refers to apostles as the highest authority (1 Corinthians 12:28), with no mention of a Pope who is above the authority of the apostles generally.

Did the apostles have any concept of Peter being their ruler? No (Luke 9:46, Luke 22:24, 1 Corinthians 12:28, 2 Corinthians 12:11, Galatians 1:1, 2:6-9).

Did Jesus think that Peter was a shepherd in the sense that he would oversee the other apostles? Apparently not. To the contrary, He tells Peter that John's future is none of his (Peter's) concern (John 21:21-22).

Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so." - Acts 17:11

As last night, I again point you to Acts 17:11. They needed no Pope or anyone to help them.“THEY” examined the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so. If THEY can read and make conclusions so can WE.

I’m curious, do you read the Bible? If so, why? Can you understand any of it? If so, how? Do you have a personal Pope there at your side as you read the Bible. Let me guess: everything in the Bible has already been explained by THE CHURCH so when you read it, you KNOW what it means already.

Your claim that my ancestors were Catholics is totally unfounded.

Read the Book of Acts and the Epistles and compare the Church shown there to the Church of Bishop Silvester. Here is how the Apostle Paul described the kinds of things that he had to endure, as a leader in the early Church.

"Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness." (2 Corinthians 11:24-27)

After Constantine's so-called "conversion," the Church was radically changed. Suddenly, being Christian resulted in power, prestige, and promotion (whereas previously it had resulted in persecution).

Enter the Roman Catholic Church - year 314 A.D. by Emperor Constantine and Bishop Silvester.
