Ind. Law - Golf cart falls can be serious

The ILB has had numerous entries about cities and towns trying to decide whether golf carts may be driven on local streets, under what conditions, what safety requirements should be imposed, etc.

Any vehichle, even a bike, is dangerous , when your drunk. A drunken fall from a bike can be deadly. A car , driven by a drunk, is a weapon. The passenger in this case was drunk also. Should have thought of her son at home.

Your right. Lets not forget to add ATVs' to that list. Must we be reminded of the 2 innocent children killed while being pulled behind one after dark slung out into oncoming traffic. The driver was under the influence of a drug, used family to cover it up, was held accountable. I live out by Bass Lake, the golf carts fly up and down our county roads. After dark with no lights. Starke County passed an ordinance but apparently it is not enforced. This county has a huge problem with dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, go carts on public roadways. I know quite a few who get on these, drunk as all get out (they have personal scanners and monitor the police calls) and calling the police is of no use. Some days you cannot even have your windows open for the noise and the dust.
