A Basehor-Linwood High School teacher has been suspended over sexual allegations involving a student.Basehor Police Chief Lloyd Martley said a 16-year-old female student approached school administrators on May 19.

I agree with "Concerned Tax Payer". Im a former BLHS student and know the victims family well. I think the victim should have some sort of punishment/counseling, but we have no clue what her life may be like when were not around. I'm not saying she's "innocent" by any means, but having the school think you're "easy" and being looked down on every day by the people you grew up with seems a pretty bad punishment to me. Knowing from now on any time someone says your name the first thing they think is "she sleeps with teachers". The teacher got what he deserved and even probably off to easily. He is the adult in this circumstance and knew better, she is still considered a child by law. He had more to lose and still participated, there for it is his fault. That's why he's the "teacher" he is supposed to teach, mentor, guide, not have sexual contact. She's just the pupil, regardless of her sexual choices.
