Once again I ask, Teacher, how is this school like a hornet's nest? Who is doing the "stinging" ? She promised us an A this year. I'd say she claims to have the ability to make overnight success a reality.
Will it happen?

I heard the other night at the girls basketball game that new principal is not happy being at MHS and wants to leave asap. Is this true? I also heard that if she does leave there were several options included bringing back a former principal - didn't say which one... Anybody know?
Oh no

Please say that's not true! Mrs. Neves is doing such a good job at MHS. She just needs to get rid of the teachers who admit openly that they don't know their subject matter and are too lazy to learn it.

She didn't have the best interest of students in her heart.
Her husband is something to do with the St. Joe Company and the land where the new school was going to sit was purchased RIGHT BEFORE THE CONSLIDATION MOVEMENT BEGAN by a big campaign supporter of her for less than $3,000 an acre from some old man that didn't know any better (check the records on Calhoun's Property Appraiser website.)
Coincidentally, land that BORDERS this new property was owned by the St. Joe Company and they were going to donate a big portion of what the school board would need to finish the new high school.
Further, the land was 10 miles outside of Blountstown and over 15 miles from Altha. Why would you build the biggest school and only high school in the county in the middle of nowhere, miles apart from the only two population centers of the county.
There was controversy and suspicion surrounding that whole movement and she got voted out because people didn't trust her.
Someone is making a buck on this that is for sure looked at county records too, they know how to hid things there. They may have it in a companies name, another family member or a trust
Explanation please

There were many "qualified" teachers let go from MHS before the school year but I pulled up the list of faculty from the MHS homepage and noticed that Mrs. Neves has three teachers there with a title of "sports officiating"????? Are you kidding me? You get rid of a chemistry teacher, etc... to make room for three "sports officiating " teachers. That is a joke! Yet other schools in the county can't even get honors classes because they have no teachers.
Explanation please

Maybe someone needs to take notice of who teachers were replaced with. Why do you need three "PE, sports officiating, personal firness" teachers. Is Mrs Neves really all about academics as you say? That is the biggest waist of county funds that I have ever seen.

Concerned Parent,
If you are really a concerned parent and you really wanted to know anything about the " new principal" you would ask the "new principal" and not ask all of us "idiots" on topix.com . We all know that all of us on topix.com are not telling you the facts, we are telling you our opinions. So, if you really want to know, go to the "new principal".

She promised an A in the first year. Is she leaving because she can't deliver?
