I think they are still investigating it. I am pretty sure the mother of this baby and her boyfriend are suspects though. I wish I could answer your question, but I can't.

it should not take them that long to invetigate a death of a young child, who never met her biological father :( the mother and the boyfriend are suspects in this case. I really hope that they are served their justice for taking the future away from a young child that didn't deserve it. I really don't think the police or social services are helping out as much as they should in a situation like this. It better not be brushed under the rug and forgotten about. That won't help matters and won't look good for the county.

The mother and the mothers boyfriend? How about the other people that were in the childs life that day that were never deemed 'suspicious' and they were left alone with her for several hours? Why is it that anytime that something happens to a child it goes straight to the 2 people closest to them, the mother and father? As if the mother and step father arn't upset enough about this you people on here have to point fingers when the only thing you know is what the newspapers print??? And if the childs 'real' father was never in her life how can he be the 'savor', he obviously didn't care about her, nor did he ever feel as though her living situation wasn't 'good enough'. Get the facts before you run your mouth! That child was loved by both families (not the 'real' fathers)! You can see love in the eyes and if you deny the love between the families and her then you obviously have no business speaking of this terrible loss that has occured!

How Do you know that her real father didn't Love her? Well it seems to me that you are running your mouth, so you all need to get your facts straight. He Loved her & her so called mother never let him she the children.

Don't count on the Garrett County justice system to do anything. The judicial system and Lisa Thayer Welch makes Peyton Place look like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Justice can be bought or ignored. If I owned Garrett County and Hell, Id live in Hell and rent out Garrett County.

Just for a moment let us look at the JonBenet Ramsey case. Even though Patsy died without ever knowing this, they found them no longer suspect. How many years ago, oh 12...yeah I think I smell a rat, and maybe just maybe another one here with this case.
I am praying for everyone involved, whether they loved this child or not is not the issue, this is a child that lost her life. If someone is responsible they need to be held accountable, however the police departments and Social Services need to broaden their horizons, because if it is not the mother and the stepfather, then the person who is responsible is chuckling on the inside knowing they are getting away with this, and probably distancing themselves and covering their tracks faster than I can type this.
