I want a recipe for the garlic salad dressing served at Murphy's. Its the pink colored dressing and a favorite of my family and I would like to recreate it at home. Can anyone help me?

My memory could be faulty on this, but I seem to remember the ingredients as being French dressing diluted with mayonnaise (the real stuff--not Miracle Whip) with a bit of garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
I hope this at least points you in the right direction.

Thanks Pam; that sounds as if this could be the recipe. I will be making up a batch in a few minutes!

We have been using the above recipe that Pam provided for years but I have alwaya suspected that it gave you a flavor close but not exactly the same. I have noticed over the years that the inside of the salad dressing container will often have some coloring around the edge that looks like french dressing. I believe I will experiment with the french dressing because this sounds so much easier, which makes since if you knew the Murphy's, they were pretty down to earth. I can see either one stretching the salad dressing by trying this and hitting the jackpot on a new flavor no one else has.

We added Heinz 57 sauce to ours and it is really close instead of catsup
