He appeared he was smarter than that but also appeared to a very bitter individual too. I could actually stay right here and weather the storm as well but have been pondering that very thought for a few month now. As long as I am up here at the lake, I am pretty safe away from the thuggery for now anyway. It is with great hope when mid-term comes around the liberals will get their ass shellacked like last mid-term election. If not then I am definitely out of here.
Yes, we have prepared and I hate it for those that did not vote for this nonsense but didn’t prepare and will suffer through it anyway. You can believe that this year will be very revealing about what lays ahead and 2014 will be a lot worse. If majority vote for liberals then as bad as it will be there will be many like me leave it and when the capital leaves this country it should fold pretty quick. Another thing that is certain is businesses will continue to move all employees above the 50 employee mark and above to part time below 29 hours a week to avoid paying healthcare on them.
That kind of increase of people on Obamacare to have to pay it all will collapse that nonsense under its own weight. Those in States that do not setup a State exchange will not be required to purchase from a Federal plan because that is not in the law, just State Exchanges. One way or another the Beast (the government) will Starve, either lack of funds or bankrupt but the days of the Great Liberal Giveaway are going to be short lived. Greece is a perfect example how that works, total chaos.
Great to hear from you and will chat with you again soon.

Losing his wife was very tramatic for him I believe. When you lose someone you love and your helpless to prevent it the experience does change you. I know that from personal experience. He's angry and in pain. I hope he can come to terms and be grateful for having someone so very special in his life. Some people never experience that kind of love and companionship and his life has been enriched for having known her and married her. At least that is my take on it!

As far as our economy it's in shambles and to say anything else is delusional. Greece,Spain,Portugal,Italy all have terrible debt issues and today I read an article that Moody's is downgrading the United Kingdom so we are starting to see the trend spread. The Quanitative Easing which our fed implemented was a temp bandaid placed on a critically serious wounds. Cosmetically looks good but in reality is no help to the patient whose bleeding and in desperate need of antibotics and blood transfusion. It amazes me that the feds are still telling us we don't really have an inflation problem when groceries have double on most products and many are triple the price of 2008. Fuel prices are through the roof and my healthcare premiums are over double what I paid in 2009. As you know I made the decision to sell my business interest last year. I had an opportunity to make a good (not great)profit and so far they have retained all employees. But, I also know they will no doubt reconsider what payroll/insurance is costing them with additional requirements and if minimum wage is increased I know those who work in entrance level jobs will be cut. Jobs will be combined or automated to save on cost. That's the reality of it. They told me to drop in anytime but I made the decision that once the paperwork was finalized I was finished. I wish them well, I had a lot of blood, sweat and tears invested but it was time to let it go. My husband retired as well so we have been taking some small trips to visit friends and relatives in Kansas,Missouri and Florida.

Good to hear you are doing well. Please give my regards to your family.

Till next time :-)

Yes he's bitter but I hope he can come to terms and overcome bitterness. It lessens his remaining life and effects the other love ones who are helpless to ease his pain. He must overcome the loss. I'm speaking from personal experience and it's easier said than done. I wish him well.

Our country is in a serious financial situation. We have no money we are over our head in debt. The Chinese have hacked,stolen,pur-chased our technology in so many areas...and we are totally indebted to them. How stupid can Congress be? It's a matter of national security and Harry Reid,Nancy Pelosi and President Obama seem to be clueless. Our debt is killing us.

Last year I sold my business interest as I came to the conclusion I didn't want to be responsible for working with this terrible economy and try to keep everyone employeed full time. I'm a person who gets attached to those who have proven themselves honorable hard working people and I always kept them and their families interest part of my decision making. Might be why my company wasn't Forbes top 500, lol. But I slept with a clear conscience! Now I find myself from time to time wondering if the new suggested minimum wage goes into effect how many entrance level positions will be reduced or automated thereby cutting jobs. I know it's not my problem but in the past I was able to help several college kids make their way through school. It will be a new reality.

Today I read a article that Moody's is cutting credit worthiness of United Kingdom...and so it begans as the stronger countries begin to join the ranks of Portugal,Italy,Spain and Greece. U.S. has already been given a downgrade with additional credit cuts coming down the pike because of Congress's lack of budget. The increase cost of living that Americans are suffering with today and lack of jobs plus additional regulations on businesses for 2013 will only accelerate the downward spiral of the U.S. economy. ObamaCare is already not working and 2014 our economy will be in more serious condition with much more liabilities that must be paid in taxes. It's a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, enough of that, wishing you and yours the best as always. I'll drop in from time to time. Take care :)

I'm wealthier now than ever in absolute terms.
I'm not drowning in debt. Neither is the country.

You're company wasn't a Forbes 500 because you lacked
what it took to make it so. Your conscience was clear
and you brain was empty. Don't brag about that.

Too bad that yo so-called intelligent people are not running the country instead of running you mouth.

Most people like me and jim C are doing just fine, but the naysayers who worship Faux News, will always bitch and moan while being hanged with a new rope.

Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. You're full of bull. USA lost it's credit rating for a very good reason and we will be downgraded again if we don't get our budget done.

Sure your wealthier now with a new cell phone and free healthcare. You have no debt because everything you have was given to you. But that type of life may suit you but bubba it's nothing to brag about!

I understand, happens to me all the time. I agree with your response. What Politicians are doing to our children and our grandchildren’s future is beyond criminal. Right now, they are stealing more than 100 million dollars from our children and our grandchildren every single hour of every single day. Sadly, most Americans don't even realize that all of this is by design. When the Federal Reserve system was created back in 1913, it was designed to get the U.S. government trapped in an endless spiral of debt. And it worked. Today, the U.S. national debt is now more than 5000 times larger than it was when the Federal Reserve was first created.

Our society has become addicted to debt, and that means that they have become addicted to slavery. America is not the "land of the free" any longer. The truth is that Americans are now the "land of the servants". Over the past 40 years, the total amount of debt owed in the United States (government, business, consumer, etc.) has grown from less than 2 trillion dollars to more than 55 trillion dollars. So who benefits from all of this? The ultra-wealthy and the international bankers make enormous profits by lending money to all the rest. According to a stunning report that was released last summer, the global elite have up to 32 trillion dollars stashed away in offshore tax havens around the globe.

The Elite basically control almost every Fortune 500 corporation. The amount of power and control that this gives them is hard to describe. New York City Mayor John F. Hylan said the following during a speech all the way back in 1922...

“The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government, which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation. To depart from mere generalizations, let me say that at the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller-Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as the international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both parties, write political platforms, make catspaws of party leaders, use the leading men of private organizations, and resort to every device to place in nomination for high public office only such candidates as will be amenable to the dictates of corrupt big business.

These international bankers and Rockefeller-Standard Oil interests control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country. They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government. It operates under cover of a self-created screen and seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public protection.”

David Rockefeller wrote the following in his 2003 book entitled "Memoirs"...

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

What the heck is this country's government think that it is Okay to hold this country's people HOSTAGE when the Obama and the other people can not get their crap together and come up with ways in the best interest of this country in getting a budget made? Does Dear old Obama even and the others run their household like they are running this country? Shame on the people that was given our (the people that voted them into office) trust to do what it takes to keep this country strong. If they actually let these budget cuts go thru March 1st they should be made to give up their salaries for the rest of their term. This also goes for Pres. Obama!

Really? Have the democrats submitted a BUDGET as is required by law?

NO. They haven't for 4 years. This sequestration would stop dead in it's tracks if the democrats submitted a budget but they won't.

The repubs did submit a budget but Harry Reid (D) refused to allow the budget to be voted on.

Stop lying!

Let me suggest a great idea for you liberal minded useless bastards to consider!
How about a tax code change...if you want all the entitlement programs to continue, you pay 70% tax on your income. If you want to reduce spending to an affordable level, you only pay 10% tax on your income. It would be simple...if you want to spend, you pay. If you want to cut, you get a cut in your taxes.

That is correct Jimbo and in fact, the Purple Lip Kenyan president got his higher taxes of $600 billion from higher earners, with no spending cuts at the end of 2012. He also got higher taxes via ObamaCare on everyone who works as well as a host of other measure in that law.

So, no one should be talking about raising taxes when the government is still giving folks free cell-phones and these endless entitlements. The Purple Lip Kenyan and Democrats must get serious about their spending problem. The Purple Lip Kenyan along with his Chief of staff Jack Lew invented the 'sequester' in 2012 to avoid facing up to the spending problem right before the elections.

The Senate, controlled by the Purple Lip Kenyan’s Democrat Cronies hasn't ever voted on a budget or a solution of any kind, let alone passed one. House Republicans have twice passed plans to replace the Purple Lip Kenyan’s sequester with common-sense cuts and reforms that protect national security.

Again, the Purple Lip Kenyan must get serious about his spending problem. If he can't agree to reform America's safety net and retirement-security programs, they will no longer be there for those who rely on them. Republican’s willingness to do what is necessary to save these programs is well-known. After four years, we haven't seen the same type of courage from the Purple Lip Kenyan.

The Purple Lip Kenyan's sequester is the wrong way to reduce the deficit, but it is here to stay until this damn Purple Lip Kenyan and Democrats get serious about cutting spending. The government simply cannot keep delaying the inevitable and spending money it doesn't have. So, as the Purple Lip Kenyan's outrageous scare tactics about the sequester grows in coming days, Republicans have a simple response:

Mr. Purple Lip Kenyan, we agree that your sequester that you invented and you signed into law was and still is bad policy. What spending are you, the Purple Lip Kenyan that is as useless as tits on a boar-hog willing to cut to replace it since there will be no more tax increases of any kind ever?

But either way I was trying to be a nice caring person. So if your post is a put down to me then say so plain and simple.

Tamara he posted it was a "spam bot" meaning it was sent not from a serious inquiry for information but to "spam" whomever receives it. No put down was intended, I'm sure.

I get annoyed by all the spammers myself they don't seem to have a serious bone in their bodies!
