It's easy, Jesse. Their respiration slows and their heart stops beating. Pretty much how a person of any age dies.

yes I understand that for an older individual. However, the cause of death would be evident on autopsy, i.e. heart attack, stroke, etc. Natural causes doesn't apply for a toddler.

Question.....what would you include in your definition of natual causes. Would the young people who die of a "heart attack" ( a heart defect ) while playing a sport be called a natural cause ? Now I am not talking about the heat related deaths I am speaking about the undiagnosed heart problems.

Which is why they are waiting for the report from the ME before closing the investigation. Duh.

I knew the little girl in question. We are heart broken over her loss. She was very well taken care of and treated like a little princess. She had everything she could have ever hoped for and more. We dont know why she died only that it was of natural causes. It is a terrible thing to think about but it is true. We cant point the fingers at anyone because what happened was unforseen and unpreventable.

I don't know the family and I never saw the child but there doesn't have to be anything "fishy" for a child to die suddenly.
Lost a grandson that way many years ago. I can tell you that some cases are never figured out. Many years ago there was an article in the "Reader's Digest" where a child had a large round worm that had went wandered into the child's the brain and killed the child. They did find the answer in that case but I think there are many cases where it is an educated guess on the death certificate. My Father died suddenly and the doc doing the autopsy asked many questions of me and I can tell you that what went on his death certificate was an educated guess. Dad was by himself at the time of his death. No one will ever convince me that what goes on a death certificate is always correct.

Why do you think that something is fishy. The human body is very complex and people of all ages from birth on up die unexpectedly every day due to something in the body malfuctioning. We always want to find a devious reason but sometimes there is just not one. Sorry to disappoint!!

Yes I am a theorist. It's called intelligence. The mother posted sob stories of not getting WIC anymore on her facebook page days after the child died... she also posts how happy her and her boyfriend are "now that she has nobody else to take care of"... really is that the reaction of a grieving mom? Nah.

Way to go, Columbo! You cracked the case! Well, except for the fact that you have offered absolutely no proof whatsoever. That's not very intelligent.
