they don't have uniforms on b/c of the new band members. we haven't had band camp yet so we haven't had uniform fitting. We have to do it ever year b/c J.t gets fatter

I have enjoyed watching the band for many years now and I believe they're all Nicholas County High School has going for it. They make it to State level Competition every year while most other organizations in that school barely make it to district. Don't even get me started on the lack of, not only learning, in that school but discipline. Band students are able to deal with strict practice schedules while maintaining very impressive academic scores. Amen.

My mistake. BTW, it's "you're a loser" not "your a loser".(just a tacky tip) The band sounded good but still think they should be marching in a parade, not riding. Uniform could have been summer dress, for instance white shirts and navy pants or shorts. Didn't have to be regular uniform. JMO, for I love the band and was once a band member.

Well the band doesn't have time durin summer to learn a song for a 30 minute parade when they have a whole show to learn and the uniforms honestly don't matter as long as they wear something with red,white,and blue

The band doesn't march the 4th of Jult parade because they have to have their music infront of them... They never have the time to learn the song but they always march the Christmas Parade so get your facts straight...

the band is the best thing out of this county because they are the only good thing here... Money gets wasted on the sports like football and basketball when they don't get very far... The band does.. Anyone got anything to say about them well keep it to yourself cuz more then likely it's goin to come back and bite u in the butt

I may be a "dumbo" but I do know that it's possible to march and have your music in front of you on your instruments! I repeat--the band sounded very good--and would have been much more effective for a parade if they had marched! I am not criticizing the bands ability and I know that they put in many hours practicing and I too am proud of them. I just think that the Blackberry Festival Parade should have a marching band. I believe this is an opinion site and that is my opinion, not an argument.

It's easier especially for the new comers and the staff to be on the trailor for that parade... They always march the christmas parade which is a more important parade...

Also some ppl dont lik to show how well the band is b4 they have started marching season, also the new comers have not really played in front of many ppl so the try and make it easry on them. aslo there not going to pull uniforms out for the 4th of july parade. the band is just waiting on the right it to come out and show ppl. or if u cant wait go watch them one day and they will prove that there marching is awsome. SO STEP OFF THEM!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a student or band member at NCHS, you my little friend are very much in need of some manners. From some of the posts I have seen on topix from students, the school needs to place less emphasis on sports, band, etc. and place more on teaching manners. I think MANNERS 101 in badly needed. I have no need to "STEP OFF THE BAND" as I was not on them. I stated my opinion which I still stand by and do not think I said anything that was deserving of insults. You are going to school to learn to survive in this world and the first thing you need to learn before you will be able to hold a job is to be able to take a little criticism. With your attitude problems you had better be ready for lots of criticism. That being said, I will say that I do know lots of students at NCHS that are mannerly.

Don't knock them, at least they are interested in something other than drugs.
