I'll try it. I dont want to spray ant killer around it that might poison the hummingbirds.

First, I just read on this machine to leave ants on the feeder. The hummers love to snack on them before the sugar water. I do not, gets yucky look'n. So, last year on all four feeders I put a small cup above the feeders to hold cooking oil or water but water will evaporate pretty fast. In your cord or wire above the feeder, place a 3/32" small all-thread rod about 3" long along with (2) very small o-rings and (2) small nuts. Buy strong, RED plastic picnic glasses and cut the bottom off to use for a cup. The all-thread runs through a very small hole in the bottom of the cup and fastens on with the small o-rings and nuts. With needle-nose pliers bend a loop on both ends of the all-thread rod for hanging. It takes very little, 1/2" or so, liquid and the ants cannot cross it. Works great. I ordered the small pieces from McMaster-Carr Supply and bought the plastic glasses from Wally-World. Just don't tighten those miniature nuts too tight against the o-rings or it will leak. Any questions......?
Now that, I can build. I already have everything it would take in the little shack out behind my bigger shack LOL. I'm going to try the chalk trick while I make the moat bowl. And the ant traps, I didn't mess with them until they messed with me. I would hate it if they made there way into the house.

Gave away 8 dozen ears of corn yesterday. 16 plastic bags containing 6 ears each for the old folks. In about another week, I will be able to do that again. That and the exercise to keep the ticker humming are the main reasons I raise so much corn. Plus, the chickens get what the raccoons and deer mess over.

Ha!
Yeah my doctor is a man anyway. They must mean for you to call woman doctors?
LMAO I would have to backslide and call in a woman of ill repute, if that happened to me. Four hours, man oh man. Not in my best days....
I better get to the prayer meeting and work this one off.
Good day to you wolf.

The HR lady told me not to worry too much about the PR lady. Since I have been trying to live right I try to keep ladies out of my mind, I sure dont wont to marry again so I guess I'm between a rock and a hard place as ladies go.

Dang I'm going to be late. Good day people.

I hope you find power in the love that surrounds you and strength in your heart and soul. Unfortunately, life has mountains of pain and burdens that we feel like are so tall to climb. I send blessings your way for a time of peace and comfort. May your pain or affliction be released and relief find you. Bless you again, from my hearth to yours,Roaming:)

Uh. My dads lifelong friend is 76 and has a first grader. Lol.
Well, I have a 9 year-old now that I raised since a baby, and I didn't even get to have the fun helping to create him. How's that any justice. But we love the little guy dearly, and wouldn't trade him for anything. But at our ages, YIKES. I'm supposed to be completely retired, free to travel, etc., and I'm ready to start school shopping, and gearing up for the daily homework.LOL

Hi, folks, I went horseback riding for the first time in 2 years, and did pretty well for an old lady out of shape. Beautiful day, today. By the way, how long does it take for tomatoes to turn red. I have huge tomatoes on the vine, but they are as green as the grass, and show no signs of ripening. The cherry tomatoes are ripening slowly, and we are beginning to pick them, but not the big ones. What are we doing wrong. They keep growing bigger, but nothing else.

You're a special woman to do this-- I have friends who are raising grandchildren and I pray for them often because it has to be so difficult. He's blessed to have you in his life

Hahahaha But there is music. What rock band was known as the first native american rock group?
I bet you'll remember the song if you have a wrinkle or two on you.

Hey, that brought back old memories, LOL. Just graduated from college when that came out. I remember the song, but beg to pardon, I still don't have wrinkles, maybe a little bit of cellulite, but wrinkles, no. Hehehehe Lala

I had the same problem and was told it could be because of the rain we had. As long as they are firm and the stem seems healthy I'd leave it to ripen. I planted heirloom seeds too this year and they ripened quickly.

Most likely not enough sun. But look at the good side... Fried Green tomatoes. I like to roll them in corn meal and fry the one side to a golden brown, then turn them over and sprinkle either parmesan or mozzarella cheese on the top side while the bottom side browns. I prefer them more crispy than some folks.
