The insufficient training of the surgeons were also highlighted in the allegations of the Da Vinci Lawsuit. It's just so sad to hear about the not so good outcomes, that were noted, concerning the controversial surgical system. I first read the issue regarding the Da Vinci lawsuit on .

This might be true that the inadequate training of surgeons handling da Vinci robotic surgeries may most likely generate unwanted effects to the patients. A surgeon is considered as the captain of the ship, he should know what he is doing, and without rigorous training, the results may be unstable. I came across this site which has comprehensive articles about problems related to da Vinci robotic surgery.

One of the most common factors mentioned for causing Da Vinci surgery complications is the lack of training for surgeons using these devices. Especially, those who have pointed out problems with Intuitive Surgicalís insufficient training have emphasized the fact that the industry currently does not have any criteria describing what is considered to be sufficient training before surgeons are deemed ready to operate on patients with Da Vinci robots. I stumbled upon this site you may want to check it out for more information regarding the complications associated with it.

It is important for a surgeon to be adequately trained to perform robotic surgery. Complicating matters, each surgeon had a different training experience, the FDA reports, including Intuitive-sponsored events, online courses and practice sessions on animal models. Unfortunately, surgeon lacking training continue to use robotic surgery, endangering the life of patient. Anyway, if you want to learn more about robotic surgery, there are articles that I bumped into at that may be of great help to you.
