Police: Man jailed after kidnapping stepdaughter at gunpoint

A 46-year-old man is behind bars this morning, hours after abducting his 17-year-old stepdaughter at gunpoint outside a Fergus Falls shopping mall, police said.

Something is wrong with this story. Why are we not hearing from the mom of these two kids. There is no mention of the mom at all. There is something fishy about this story.

First, the step brothe was/is in his mid 20's, so why would a mom be speaking up? She thought they were at a movie, so who's going to worry in anything under a few hours. Plus, why should she have to speak up? Her daughter was through a traumatic experience, we don't have the right to peeer into their life because of it. I'm guessing there's a great reason this person is the "ex-step father".

His occupation was a teacher, now he says he's a pilot - which one has more to the story? Guess I don't get it.

Guessing he was or is obsessed with this girl. Or her mom. Who knows? Just keep him off the streets.

SPaM, how on earth do you know this? The accused is the STEP father. Do you have some inside information on the father? Is he alive? Maybe he's not - you know what, your 92% stat. on the other article must be your own. One woman stayed with you, the others didn't, hence 92% of women file for divorce. Well,he has like 4 or 5 kids bcuz I KNOW these ppl,and they have been saying david go in a fight with his wife,and got mad,and for some reason drove to fergus and did what he did.they are originally from georgia.ppl say that he fell in love w/ another woman?im not sure if that is true,but i also heard he made out with his daughter at a clinic...not so sure bout that!!i guess they have been having family problems...amy moved out of the house...:(
