Districts may split school chief

North Middlesex Regional School District Superintendent Maureen Marshall sent out an automated phone message to all parents yesterday to set the record straight: She is not doubling as superintendent of another school district.

Sounds like they got caught trying to sneak something thru, and then had to back-pedal.

I've seen no retraction from the newspaper or Quabbin, which now puts alot of suspicion as to what's really going on

No mention of this in the June 8 School Committee agenda posted on the district website. No recorded minutes of the meeting posted either.

Dr M knew about this months ago. She hinted at it to the teachers in an effort to get them to vote for a wage freeze. She said she would be sharing her services with other districts as a way to save $$$. But, she'll most likely be making more money as a result. She wins....but she also proves that being a super is NOT a full-time position....

What a difference day makes...
If she has been negotiating for a job at another district (full or part time) and did not tell her employer, The full NM school committe , then should should resign her position.

Quite agree take a pay cut at North Middlesex or just go back to Quabbin

The Telegram wouldn't retract because he reported what went on at Quabbin's meeting not North Middlesex. How the SC there can vote to hire someone who isn't available or when formal or even any discussions have started is just beyond bizarre. Vote to enter into discussions yes, vote to hire? No.
