You are misinformed as to the pay of the speech therapist, she is on the same payscale as the teachers. Her sub is making more than she did!

Also, the contract states that they can do "sick bay" if agreed upon by the super and board and union pres. The super had the teachers donate days and then vetoed it. Why have them go through the trouble only to say no?? Also, how do you know the speech therapist will be "fine" do you know her financial situation? I guess you did a LOT of research if you do....

Also about donating sick pay
The school set precedence by allowing other employees to accept sick days from donated days.
This is discrimination against the Therapist.
Also
Even if her husband has insurance and she chose to keep her insurance is her business. If they want to stop her insurance from the school then they should have to pay her the buy out like they do with the other employees who chose not to take IV health insurance. Not sure, but think IV didn't pay this from info that's out there.
It seems with IV it's not what you know but who you know. Fair is fair and it's not fair to treat one employee different from another

This super or BoE has not allowed anyone to accept sick days from a pool.

If you would like them to follow the precedence set by RC, let them know. I'm pretty sure FYI by your previous comments on this blog you want anything but.

As for allowing the teachers to donate days, then veto and say no...are you positive that the teachers really DID donate days, or did they just ask if they WOULD. Cause I called a teacher last night and asked...So I'm 99.9% positive that I was correct.

The school in no way is denying her of insurance. She still has her's from IV and her husband has his with covers her as well.

About her payscale, she might get paid on the same scale of the teachers, but what ones? The longer you've been doing your job the more you get paid. I verified this information at the school board office, its public information. So Wrong, as your names implies...

I mean, what would be the use of telling the Union President that she could have sick days from other teachers, if they wouldn't or couldn't give any up?

Sounds like the super has all his ducks in a row. He gathers all the information first, then makes a decision.

Right or wrong, isnt that what we ultimately ask for? For our super and BoE to make the hard decision AFTER they gather all information?

Even if the super had said yes to the sick days, it still has to be approved by the BoE anyway, do you think they would approve by a majority vote?

This is an assumtion, but I "think" they would have voted no. As RC had done this before, they want nothing to do with ANY of his previous precedences.

Since you are so willing to call the super, please ask him what role he had in spreading the email of the Roudebush girl a few years ago. To refresh his memory. The girl had made a sexual video of herself that was sent to a boyfriend, then somehow it got spread around the district. Rumor has it the super and several other administrators were passing it around and making crude comments about her. Is THAT having ducks in a row??? or is that a crime?? I vote for the latter

Also ask him if he was asked to resign because of allegedly stealing money from the principal's fund? There's some fishy stuff going on at IV I'm telling ya!

It is surprising what facts can be found by getting out from behind your anonymous keyboard and actually ask questions face to face, however far too few people choose to do this.

Thanks Researched for the information. It's nice to get some facts on here instead of the usual gossip and mudslinging.

Then I hope IV doesn't choose to give ANY teacher this option. Prayers be with teachers in a district that do not have the support, love and compassion of those in charge.

Sadly, the IV taxpayers let Cadle and Gray off the hook. You get what you deserve.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Leo

Be choosy about who you spend time with today. If you're with someone who's habitually miserable or sorry for themselves, you'll soon be dragged down to their level and will struggle to recover again. However, you may feel such sympathy for their plight that you don't see you have any choice but to be with them. If so, do your best to remain positive.
