Instead of reading constant negative comments about Versailles/Stover, why don't we dedicate a thread to posting something positive? Participate by posting something positive about either town, people in it, etc.

To help keep the dramaholics out of here, please just don't respond to any negative comments should they appear, so that they will not attract the attention they don't deserve.

Starting off the positive party, I'd like to say that I am proud to be from Versailles, I love the community and there are a lot of really great people from here.

I just moved here not long ago and just made my first visit to the Morgan County library. What a great library! The people there were extremely nice and it's a great library for such a small town.

I just moved to the country in Versailles, I love it here. I also have nothing but positive things to say about the applefest they have in Versailles every year. What a joy to go to and spend a great day with the family.

I have lived in Versailles for 25 years and I could not have chosen a better place to raise my children. I have seen time and time again, citizens coming to the aid of people in need. I love it here!

I still miss Versailles graduated from there it was a great little town and I had a great education im proud of versailles!

I'd like to comment on the courthouse. I think we have a lovely courthouse and I think the town has been doing a great job of maintaining the look and feel of the square. Speaking of the square, I just LOVE the Royal Theater and the Village House. 2 of my favorite things in Versailles!

I think this is a wonderful idea. This topix website has a terrible reputation for all the negativity and nasty words written. I think we would all be a little happier if you could get on here a read nice things for once!! I love being rasied here. My family from generations have been born and raised here. Everbody knows everybody and helps when people are in need, very comforting!!! Wonderful idea Positive

I agree! What a great idea! I get sick and tired of reading some of the comments people make about our communities. Versailles and Stover are both great little towns to live in. I grew up in a town with 25,000+ people. It was so nice to come down here where everyone knows everyone. If you need help people are there for you. I'm proud to now call Stover my home!

Are you kidding? Versailles is a crap hole. It has not been decent since the 1970's. No zoning. You own a nice decent home and plop, trailer trash drops their trailer right next to you. Your home value plummets.

I'm excited for the apple fest. One of the best small town fests I've seen!

I am as well. I go to the Apple Fest every year and I live in Jefferson City. I was just getting on here to try to figure out when it is. It is the first Saturday of October every year, correct?

Another one I go to is always the 2nd Saturday and I get them mixed up. Don't want to miss the Apple Fest! It's the best one in Mid-Mo in my opinion.

Applefest is the first Saturday of the month. It is such a wonderful festival. I won't miss it. Where is the one on the second weekend of the month?
