WHO SAID THE REFORMER DOESN'T PRINT GOOD-GREAT -TERRIFIC -FANTASTIC-STORIES. Wow this is proof that the system works although you may have to get higher up the ladder to see a real judge that goes by the law and not their heart and interpretation of how they twist the law to their said way of progressive thinking. GOD put me here for a reason and I'm a Vermonter and I do what I wanta. Well I have been here for 25 years so I'm a Vermonter. no no no your not and will ever be one but leave your dreams at home or they will get run over quickly out here in the real world. If you looking to babble go talk to the brook and jump in

Halleluya! Protesters can protest all they want, but that doesn't mean the taxpayers owe them a huge settlement. Let them take responsibility for their own actions.

Somehow I don't think that was their intent Mike. This was all about getting free digs on the county dime.

wasnt there something abou tthe landowners specifically telling the fuzz the protesters could remain?
so the police can overlook this known fact and still call it suspicion of trespassing...

but forget that because it wouldnt matter according to the court...they made a judgment call and are protected...
BUT how does this somehow negate the assault as suggested by the defense attorney...
it does not!

the police overstepped here...
look at iot this way...if they had won 10 million dollars, wouldnt you want to protest? Well here's pepper in YOUR eye!

That is the problem with getting hooked up with lawyers...they could have been local political icons if they just openly talked about what they were doing and why. Right, that is what the lawyers do in order to win their case...they tell you to shut up.

The question is, what is going to happen once they disclose development proposals for that partial of land.

They did have a strategy with a novel situation on locking themselves to barrel full of cement and making the lives of the police difficult.

Jonathan Crowell has since started an organic farm in Williamsville.

Just as Mr. Crowell felt that the site on Putney Road in Brattleboro would be better used as a park, I feel that an organic farm is a poor use for one of the few plots of large, open flat ground in the West River Valley that has not been developed.

It would be far better if it was converted into a park, with some baseball, softball and soccer fields. Leland and Gray High School has a shortage of playing fields, and could use these for games and practices, and children in the locale could play on other parts of the new park.

Just as Mr. Crowell did in Brattleboro, we should gather a group of community members to act as "volunteer groundskeepers" and begin converting his farm into what we deem is a more appropriate use for his property.

the land owner told the police they could stay over night, but had to be off the property in the Am. After the officers tased the "protesters" the land owner changed his story. Didn't want to be involved in a law suit! Pete is a really nice guy. He wouldn't have tased them unless he had too and that is what happened!

There is nothing wrong with protesting! The problem i have with this situation is they tried to sue the town. Money they have no right to have! Make a seen! Get arrested! Make your point! Have pride in what you are getting arrested for, but don't make the town responsible for it! It use to be an honor are a protester to be arrested...this suing the town is BS!

It never would have happened if the town's people were smart with who they voted as selectpersons....where they controlled the police department and made sure it was properly managed.

A legal suit is the only way you can create mandated objective facts about what happed and what went on in the police department.

Everyone is stronger for it?

I take it you're not a regular reformer reader. The editorial page usually tops it at least twice a week.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Taurus

This is a day for turning your attention to your finances, especially if you're currently working on the budget for domestic improvements or changes. Talk to the other people concerned and really listen to what they're saying. They'll have some great insights. It will be far more productive to work as a harmonious team rather than as warring factions.
