ya know what? Cops are ppl too. No kidding. They have feelings too. They are supposed to be impartial, but sometimes, they are not. I feel much sympathy for them because they have to be Parents to ppl who continually offend. That gets really old sometimes. How many times do they have to tell you not to put your hand on a hot stove OR don't do drugs because it is illegal and they will have to put you in jail beacause that is the law and they are there to enforce the law. So, this particular officer gets mad and threatens...perhaps he feels he's justified in doing this because the perpetrator just won't listen to anything else. Sometimes you just have to get someone's attention. Sometimes just the hint of a threat is all it takes....Instead of judging this officer why not ask him...what are you afraid of?

When you have to take your children back inside your house when they are playing outside because a police officer wants to cuss and threaten someone outside is a little much!how do you teach your children to respect police if they abuse there power?i never talked to the people involved and these people were my neighbors. From what i saw it looked as though the officer was'nt getting his way and these people were following orders,im not going into detail but i know what i saw and what i heard.Cops are people too i understand but this officer was being ridiculous and I moved from barling just because of this.barling pd is a joke and they abuse there power!

Cops are people too.....blah blah blah!of course they are and not all are bad just like the people they pick on like they do in barling.yes there are criminals and those people should be put away.Investigate the accused, don't threaten them.It is not very becoming.how would you teach your children to respect the police if they are acting no better than a common criminal? You want this person to ask the officer?please give me a break! Are you an officer moomoo?read the other comments on here from other people who have a problem with barling.I respect the police but not Barling and before anyone posts stupid ass comments like im just an ex employee or a criminal that has been wronged, well im not at all but i do know how crooked Barling pd is.

Are you kidding me? Children hear cussing from you, other children, and the god damn show YOU let them watch on t.v. Cussing happens. I think you are over-reacting. Abuse of power is more than just cussing and threatening. If you think that this particular officer was too aggressive in his manner, you should have called his supervisor and complained. but ya didn't. That is where the fault lies. You not doing anything. Yay! you moved!

Yes im excited too.......Barling is a shitty little town and the police that represent that town are ridiculous and unprofessional.I am very happy that i moved.btw,my children are very small and they dont hear me cuss and do not watch t.v. but they did see a police officer one time when they were outside playing, and this officer was cursing and screaming.my son still asks me why cops are so mean.you are a jerk and probably work for and with the same people,so your opinions and bs comments dont mean anything to me.

Actually one officer that works in barling used to work for the roland pd.This officer was fired and recieved complaints because he was cussing and threatening the towns citizens. One night after a town meeting he supposedly threatened the mayors grandfather. It was in the sequoyah county times. He and another officer were fired and it turned into a big lawsuit and so on.My point is this man recieved complaints because of threats and cussing the towns people. The officer did win the court case but he was accused of this in another state. You people should look it up.

If I were a cop, I would be a mighty aggressive one. That nifty little device I'd wear on my belt called a Taser would be worn out! Cuz....if I had to pull you over and you opened your mouth to argue with me...zzzzap! Or if you would have dispute with a neighbor and the words..."yes, but Officer" came outta yer mouth....zzzzap! If I were a cop- baby...you would do what I told you to do and you'd say yes ma'am.(with a smile...or ya know, zzzzap!) You got what I am saying?

Sounds from this post you would fit right in at BPD! While I have notto seen itthe first hand obviously some folks there are none too happy! All I can say is one bad apple can spoil it for many! I know three or four of the BPD guys and the ones I know I don't think (or hope at least) are the ones your speaking of here. I do however like Moohoohoo's Taser idea! I have a Taser and it would be a blast if it were allowed yo do that! Their would be a lot more yes sir/ yes ma'ma's out there!

Everyone knows about the buddy system in barling,so it would not do this person a bit of good to complain to anyone in barling. It is very unprofessional for any officer to make threats i agree.
I dunno. I support the local le. I could if an officer made threats because either you weren't listening the first time or maybe you were threatening him so he reciprocated.
