Greetings Commisioner McCarthy:
You are hereby served and charged with negligence in allowing four moose to run wild in CT and this time a motorist was injured and a car destroyed. DEP will be responsible for all damages to the victim, motor vehicle and pain and suffering to the victim. The moose needed not to die. It should have been tracked by Trooper 1 last night and found with heat seeking sensors. You had most of the day to find it but your employees were unable to. You need to change your policy before someone is killed in another moose or bear incident. Of course this would only be allowed to happen in the Rell administreation. Typical day; dead moose, injured driver, media coverage and Peta, The Sierra Club and Friends of Animals will be breathing down your necks for this. Ninety six accidents left to go and people to be hurtby your lax and misguided policies. At least the moose was given to the homeless and food pantries.

Ahhh... PETA. People Eating Tasty Animals. I've never hit a 4-legged creature here in CT, but I did hit a horse and a deer once in upstate Wisconsin. The state police had the owner of the horse come and retrieve it, but in the case of the deer, they gave me the option of taking it myself, or donating it to a local orphanage. Having suffered well over $2k damage to the car - both times - I opted to take the deer. After paying $150 to the local butcher I had venison steaks and sausage that lasted well over a year. Mmmmmm. Good but expensive eating.

Oh the irony, a New Hampshire woman drives all the way to Fairfield county collide with a moose! What's next, Martha Stewart goes to Pittsburgh and can't get seated at DeBanville's?

Where were the moose's parents? Where were the driver's parents? Moose should be prohibited because what kind of message is this sending to our children?

Not ten. A a hundred. Well, now there's 99.
Dart them and relocate them to Maine or shoot them.
Otherwise the threat they pose to humans, themselves, and our native deer population will remain.

Well, yeah. What's the difference; getting hit in the head with a 16# hammer at the slaugther-house or getting hit by a 2-ton auto at 60mph? They're both dead in the end.(Other than the cost.)

Sell special permits for the 2008 deer season and we'll have all 100 or so bagged and dressed out in no time. Run a derby in parallel and have them kick in an extra $100 and award 1/2 the the guy that bags the biggest bull and the other 1/2 to PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals).

Mmmmmmm good.

I just hope it wasn't Mr. Moose from the Captain Kangaroo show. I had heard he had retired and was living in Fairfield County.

Did anybody notice if there were ping pong balls found at the scene of the accident?

No. Just a bloody, severed arm. Crawling. Inch by inch. With an unrelenting thirst for revenge.

AND IT'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!
